I went to Le Coq d'Or again last night to pick up my couscous merguez to take away as usual.
The chef always prepares me a special couscous with four merguez while I read in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant (which has retained all the charm of the Moroccan palate of my childhood). That evening, I didn't have the financial means for the usual meal but he still agreed to give me a discount.
We had a bit of chat as usual, discussing world cuisine (particularly the Mediterranean culinary specialties of which he is a specialist). He also explains to me that a recent review came in denigrating the quality of the food.
What was my surprise after checking! I am revolted by the bad habit that some people have adopted to defame honest traders who work hard to promote quality products.
I see it as a duty to defend this restaurant against mediocre people and slanderers; me, who unlike the latter, am always so happy to taste this cuisine.
Finally, for those who don't know this restaurant, my only advice: don't hesitate. It's a very good address in Palaiseau, as it always has been.
Pay attention to the couscous sauce, its creaminess and taste.
