Papa Nino Pizzeria Cannes sur Cannes

A fantastic find in Cannes! Everything is homemade, from the pizza dough to the fresh pasta, and it really shows. The pizza and pasta were absolutely delicious, as were the homemade desserts. The service was warm and attentive. We paid only €40 for a pizza, a pasta dish, and a carafe of wine—excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back!

I ate there at least three times a month for almost 14 years. Alex's pizzas are fabulous. An old-fashioned restaurant like we wish we saw more often. The complimentary aperitif before each meal is a rare find these days, but not here. A place to try; everything is handmade the old-fashioned way!

The owner is very authoritarian and impossible to deal with. She was yelling in the kitchen, probably at the chef. Hearing that, you wonder if you've chosen the right table. The tiling needs replacing, as does the entire decor. The young woman who serves gets snide remarks every time the owner walks by, and the poor pizza maker seems to have lost his touch. The pizzas aren't perfectly round anymore, but they're still good. I think time has passed, and things will only get worse if they stubbornly continue like this.

This was a delightful find on our first night in Cannes. There were diners her from Italy that said the pizza was amazing. A family run restaurant. Highly recommended.

These are the businesses that deserve it! They have been running this place, where they make everything themselves, for 52 years! Lovely people and the food is fantastic! Highly recommended if you are looking for a restaurant with character!
