Just steps from the port of La Rochelle. A warm, vintage/flea market decor. Delicious oysters at good prices and quality homemade cuisine. Prices are very reasonable, as are the wines. Service and a smile included. A great find.

It was the only restaurant open tonight and we don't regret it at all. The pumpkin soup with a soft-boiled egg, then the spelt with mixed vegetables, and to finish, the caramel French toast was divine. I highly recommend it.

Passing through La Rochelle, this restaurant was a wonderful discovery. Drawn in by the decor, I received a warm welcome from a very dynamic and attentive young woman. And of course, the food was delicious and plentiful, making me want to return.

Excellent lunch at Papy Mougeot's. We chose the seared octopus with pumpkin caviar and satay sauce. Delicious! This little restaurant, a bit outside the center, is a gem. The welcome is very warm and the service equally so. We highly recommend this establishment; a must-visit in La Rochelle. Good value for money.

Generous portions for every dish, more than reasonable prices that allow us to order a starter, main course, and dessert every time we go (whereas we would have only ordered one overpriced dish at another restaurant), and to top it all off, delicious food, traditional dishes that are a joy to find on our plates. Even the service is top-notch 👍 We can book online and the response is always quick. In short, a comforting restaurant, the kind that sadly becomes rare these days 🥲

12/02/2026: A wonderful welcome! We were seated with our three children, including two babies, in a quiet corner so as not to disturb the other guests. High chairs were available for babies and a booster seat for children. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return on our next trip to try something different! Thank you for this delightful family experience.
31/01/2026: We had a lovely time and have no complaints. Everything was delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The portions were just right.
