The renovations have been beautifully done, and the service is always friendly and trouble-free. However, there has been a significant decline in the upkeep of the premises and the overall hygiene of the dining area (see photo for example). How can such mold growth occur if the waste hasn't been there for at least several days? This is extremely disappointing, especially when bringing a child for an afternoon snack.

The lady serving was not very friendly, she didn't say hello and when we asked her for someone to wipe the tables she replied with a haughty air, she had green eyes and wore glasses.

I stopped by yesterday for a meal, and as a waitress myself, I found the service at Patapain quite special. And I mean that in a good way. The menu has several choices, and the mezze salad I ordered was excellent. Special thanks to Fali, who takes great care of his customers, even going so far as to serve our coffees at the table with a big smile. I recommend it 100%!

18/11/2025: November 18, 2025. Heads up, you need to pull yourself together. Prices are dropping! Back on August 2, 2022. Still great! Super friendly owners. Coffee for €1! My go-to spot when I'm back in Sens! Interesting selection of draft beers. Cool atmosphere!

26/05/2026: A lovely welcome. The kitchen was closed, so the owner walked us to another restaurant that had also just closed. He then decided to reopen his kitchen. It's so rare. And on top of that, we had a wonderful meal: a generous Caesar salad and fresh ingredients. Located between the magnificent market halls and the cathedral. A truly special moment.
29/04/2026: A very average experience. I chose this place for its terrace location... The food was mediocre, and the service was incredibly slow, leaving me feeling completely forgotten. Not very pleasant.
