Pausa Gusto in Cambrai is a decent Italian restaurant, but nothing special. The atmosphere is very subdued, perhaps chic, but rather cold and lacking in character. The staff is pleasant, although clearing the table takes a bit too long. I tried a pizza: good, but not very flavorful, far from bad, but not up to what I expected from an Italian restaurant. Overall, it's edible, but I was left a little disappointed.

Pleasant welcome and service, warm atmosphere! The food is top-notch in terms of both quality and quantity, justifying the (still reasonable) price of the dishes.

New Year's Eve dinner on December 31st was quite disappointing for the price we paid for two: €160. Apart from the starter (salmon and asparagus), which was excellent, the rest was disappointing. The main course (beef whiting with black pudding and sweet potato purée) was not up to the price (€28). It was overcooked, even though I had asked for it medium, and the purée was sickeningly sweet. The dessert was presented crudely and also not worth the price (€15, a pavlola). Quite disappointed for a meal at such a price! However, having been there several times before at the regular price, I have never been disappointed.

La Dolce Vita

23/03/2026: Nice restaurant decor, perfect service, and vegetarian options clearly marked on the menu (which is why we chose this restaurant). The pizzas were very good, as was the dessert (homemade chocolate mousse with whipped cream). Nice touch: the straws are made of pasta :)
