The Chinese-style beef dish of the day was delicious, the fish of the day was a perfectly cooked sea bream, the service was more than top-notch with a smile and great efficiency, a small downside was the excessive oil accompanying the sea bream vegetables and the lack of information on the wines (the year is missing from the menu), the setting on the terrace is very pleasant.

The austere town of Saint-Yrieix becomes charming with the renovation of its medieval site and some very pleasant places to eat and drink. All of this makes it worthwhile to leave the outer boulevard for an authentic break.

We had the pleasure of dining at Chez Pépé Lucien (restaurant side) during our holiday in Payzac. We had booked in advance. The terrace is very pleasant, and the cocktails and mocktails are delicious. We enjoyed our meal very much; it was tasty and the portions were generous. The service was impeccable and very friendly. Thank you for this lovely experience!

28/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! This restaurant offers a peaceful setting, and despite being located on a busy road, we didn't hear any cars. A superb view of the countryside complements the warm atmosphere! The food is excellent with a varied menu, the ingredients are high quality, and the dishes are beautifully presented! The service is very friendly! We had a lovely time; a restaurant not to be missed if you're in the area!

26/07/2026: We went there for the food truck night, every Wednesday evening during the summer holidays, and it was really great... The burgers were absolutely amazing... We couldn't have eaten anything else, they were so filling... Then, to aid digestion, we walked around the lovely Lake Arfeuille... There's even a small campsite with about fifteen chalets... I wrote down the address, you never know...
17/07/2026: A really lovely spot. We were riding our motorbikes, and with the heatwave, a quick dip in the water was very welcome. The water was warm and clean. It was surprisingly uncrowded for this time of year. The beach is large and well-maintained; the sand extends far underwater, which is pleasant for your feet and helps keep the water clear. The supervised swimming area is quite spacious, and there's a floating pontoon where younger children have a great time. A shower is available for rinsing off. It really has everything you could need! Not being sunbathers, we even found a shady spot with a bench to sit on. I highly recommend this place and I'm even thinking of coming back to try out the campsite next door and the surrounding walks.
