Pizzeria San Remo sur Nevers

The pizza dough was excellent, a marvel! It's a shame the chef doesn't share his recipe.

For me, SAN REMO is the benchmark for pizzerias, and has been for many years, but now they also make sublime homemade pastries. Bravo and thank you.

We happened upon this restaurant, which was packed; this confirmed our choice. We were well received, and although we were warned of the wait, the service was quite fast. However, aside from the pizza we ordered, the rest of the dishes (burrata salad and paradise salad in particular) were not up to par, let alone good value for money. We were especially upset that when we pointed this out, they clearly took us for "annoying" customers by blatantly lying to us. Because if the burrata was really sold for €8, we should change suppliers! They can be found for €4 at Metro and are good quality. And when it says "bed of arugula" on the menu, that's not the same as a single Batavia leaf! Despite the small gesture of goodwill, we remain bitter and disappointed. As lovers of good food and quality products, we unfortunately do not recommend this place.
