Visited a few times during our week, staying nearby. Great for coffee and croissants in the morning as an accompaniment to watching the world come and go. Gets busy at times, most times (which tells you something) especially lunchtime. The sandwiches / pizza-style are very good and you'll find yourself compelled to try a few of the pastries (even if to take away).

A very good bakery located on the small village square, with a lovely shaded terrace perfect for enjoying a meal or a coffee. We sampled the pastries, viennoiseries, and sandwiches, and everything was truly delicious. The sandwiches are made to order, which is a real plus and gives a sense of freshness. The products are high quality, and the portions are just right. A simple, pleasant, and unpretentious place where you can eat well. We really enjoyed it and will gladly return if we're ever in the area again.

Excellent bakery! The products are truly high quality, everything is fresh and delicious. Special mention goes to the pastries and bread, which are excellent. The service is always pleasant and friendly. A wonderful place that I highly recommend. 5 stars well deserved!

I had a picnic lunch at this bakery today, and the desserts were truly remarkable! A thin apricot tart, perfectly crisp and caramelized, and a delicious Jesuit cake (also perfectly crisp and baked)! In short, I'll definitely make the detour to Loix again when I return to the island!

I'm revising my opinion downwards because the owner changed in 2024 and the quality isn't the same anymore, whether it's the pastries, cakes, or bread. The croissants sold at Spar are much better. The iconic Saulnier is nothing like the one we used to buy a few years ago. The fruit tarts are decent. There's no longer a queue in the morning outside this establishment, which speaks volumes.

A bread and pastry shop that benefits from its advantage: being the only one in Loix. The service is deplorable. You queue to order your breakfast, and every time (and I mean every time), locals cut in line to order their coffee. Unbearable and disrespectful. In short, it's not a pleasant experience. The only positive: the ice cream is good.

Excellent service, top-notch products. We had sandwiches made to order with crusty bread. Homemade ice cream. Tables for snacks. Highly recommended for a lunch stop during a bike ride. A big thank you to your team.

27/08/2026: Fantastic experience! The crepes are divine, as are the tartare and fish. The staff are incredibly attentive and efficient, and the location is charming. A must-visit in Loix.
22/08/2026: Like everything in Loix, this place feels authentic. It is always packed for lunch and most telling of all, packed with locals rather than tourists which gives it a great vibe. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table of four and the waiting got longer after that. Our table was in the far corner of the outside section and it felt like we got forgotten by the staff, who were not the most polite. Our main course took a long time to arrive and the portions were not very big. They also forgot the extra portion of frites that we had ordered, so we had to ask for them again. We then had another really long wait for our desserts which again were underwhelming. The Clown Crepe was a real let-down, it had clearly been left out too long as the cream was melted and it lacked any kind of presentation. All in all, it took us two hours to get lunch, arriving at 13:00 and leaving at 15:00. If you have a lazy day, give this place a try but not somewhere to go for a quick bite. Definitely the Ile De Re pace in full effect.
