Yes, it's trendy. Yes, the desserts are good. But no, they're not superior. Is mixing so many flavors a guarantee of excellence? They're very pretty, and that does matter. We arrived around 4 pm on a Thursday in July, and there were very few seats. You have to find where the desserts are displayed, on a board stuck to the counter, which is difficult to access. Everything here is crammed into a few square centimeters. You have to sit on a stool at the end of a shared table or on a low bench next to the sidewalk. All this for an absolutely unreasonable price of €13 to €15 per dessert, without a drink. Ouch, this bourgeois-bohemian vibe is really paying off. How long will it last?

It's been on my list forever, and I finally got to try it. Perhaps not the ideal dish for a hot day, but overall it's very satisfying. The taste is typical of what you'd find in Japan—very good, but unfortunately lacking that subtle umami flavor you get from the very best.
The staff is friendly, the shop is small but has a terrace. The service is quick, the tonkatsu is nice and crispy, though the rice could be a little overcooked. The portion is sufficient for an average-sized eater.

Very tasty food, we took crispy pork and the rice and curry was so generous in size so that we order also an extra chicken - all amazingly good! Very nice staff as well 👌

Pontochoux: The Lucky Katsu Before the Exam
We settle down without much expectation on the small wooden terrace, seemingly an invitation, right there on the street, and it's precisely there that superstition meets indulgence.
Because in Japan, as everyone knows, eating katsu (カツ) before an exam is never entirely by chance: the homophony with
勝つ, meaning "to succeed" or "to win," makes it almost a ritual.
That day, between study sessions, the challenge seemed obvious.
The katsu's golden, crispy coating yields to the bite with just the right amount of resistance, a testament to perfectly executed frying—neither greasy nor dry. Coated in a generous, boldly spiced curry sauce, it doesn't fall apart: the crispiness holds firm until the very last bite, resisting the smoothness of the sauce.
The short-grain, slightly sticky Japanese rice absorbs everything without falling apart, while the pickled vegetables provide that welcome touch of acidity that awakens the palate between bites.
A simple dish, almost a culinary good luck charm. We leave the terrace with full stomachs and slightly lighter spirits, ready to take on the world—and, who knows, perhaps to verify that the legend of the rice wasn't lying.

Fantastic place! The curry is simply exceptional, undoubtedly one of the best I've had in Paris. The atmosphere is unique, a refreshing change from typical restaurants. The service is impeccable. Plus, the value for money is excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

I mean it was good. I liked eating the curry. I took the pork. The service was quick. But for 14.50 I expected a slightly bigger size. The portion was possibly one of the smallest portion I've ever eaten in my life. I wish I'd have least been told that it was so small cause I would have paid extra for a decent portion. It's smaller than am avergare plate.
