We had a wonderful time; everyone was incredibly attentive. A truly enjoyable experience, beautifully restored while preserving its original character. The food was well-prepared and very reasonably priced.

Rediscovered for me today… A very, very pleasant surprise, the staff were incredibly attentive, and the food was fantastic… I'm going to become a regular at Gab's again!!!

A fantastic discovery at Pub Les Gabariers! We had a wonderful time, thanks to both the venue and the entire team: a warm welcome, pleasant service, and a friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. As for the food, the daily special was simply perfect. The flank steak was incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—a real treat! And then there was the dessert…it's hard to talk about it without wanting to go back 😍 The French toast was absolutely exceptional—generous, indulgent, and delicious—the picture speaks for itself! 🤤 Special mention also goes to the cocktails, which were truly delicious 🍹 This is a place where you eat very well, receive excellent service, and have a great time. I highly recommend Pub Les Gabariers and will definitely be back! 👏🥰

The setting is magnificent, both inside and out. We received a very warm welcome. The set menu was excellent value for money. Special mention for the dessert: homemade French toast!

I didn't rate the food because I didn't try it, but I plan to go back for a meal. What a shame they ruined the entrance by cutting down the trees that provided welcome shade during the heatwaves, and the way the white ground reflects off the sun is going to be terrible next summer. The building has been restored, which was necessary, but the reality is nothing like the stunning photos on social media. It lacks character. The exterior is no longer as welcoming as it used to be. The soul of the Gabarier pub is gone; it's up to the new owners to find it again or find a new direction. I'm disappointed with my weekend visit, but it's only the beginning, and I wish them great success...

First experience, first impression, excellent! - The place was fully booked; we should have made a reservation. Philippe, the owner, was right not to take us without a reservation to maintain the quality of service, and even so, he took the time to bring us a small tapenade and a tablet in front of the garden furniture overlooking the Charente River where we had settled down for a drink. We will be back; the place is magical! Well done! Eric and Anne

We came with friends on Saturday, September 19th. The establishment has been tastefully renovated, and there was a lively atmosphere late in the evening. However, the welcome wasn't particularly warm upon our arrival without a reservation. The only regrettable downside was the charcuterie and cheese board, which was essentially hidden on a bed of salad that barely filled the board, plus a few frozen fries. It's a shame, because for €25 there should be more to go around, especially the salad...🥗
