A warm welcome! Pilou (our dog) was treated like royalty. There wasn't much choice on the menu, but that didn't matter because everything was excellent, homemade food that delighted our taste buds. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Angoulême.
P.S. Please consider making it accessible for people with reduced mobility, as the stairs aren't easy for everyone.

A very warm welcome and perfect service! The daily special (mussels and hamburgers for the children) was delicious and generous. A great time for the whole family. A nice touch was their return of a forgotten bag. Truly excellent, we highly recommend it.

Quai N°8 is a must-visit whenever my parents come to see me in Angoulême.
The food is simple, but it's very well prepared! In three years of frequenting this charming restaurant, I've never been disappointed.
We often ask to be seated by a window to enjoy the view of the Charente River, as well as the ducks and swans that peacefully float along its banks.
The owners are very friendly and deserve far more customers and recognition for their hard work!

The food is varied, beautifully presented, and delicious, never greasy. The welcome is very friendly; you spend a special moment in a magnificent setting, a haven of peace nestled in the greenery along the banks of the Charente River – with a superb terrace in the summer. The prices are more than reasonable considering everything is fresh and prepared on-site... a very big thank you!

The food was good, but nothing special. People come to restaurants often enough to be surprised, which wasn't the case here... except for the duck terrine, which was fabulous!
The service was perfect, no complaints there.
The restaurant's location is a real find for those looking for an intimate spot near the Charente River and the city center.
