Ramen Kumano sur Nice

Simply the best ramen in Nice!!! Everything was fantastic, I can't wait to go back!

Overall quality that doesn't justify the wait. It's clearly not a top-quality ramen; the broth is mediocre, lacking depth, and the chashu is roughly cut. So, not bad, but not good either. The place was crowded and noisy.

Kara miso ramen is excellent, as are the gyoza and fried chicken appetiser! It gets lively so expect noise and movement...Only drawback is the long wait, would be nice to be able to make a reservation! 🙏

Here's a general translation of what my Japanese partner said after ordering Shoyu ramen (buta ramen): "The broth is too thin compared to Japanese ramen; you can't taste the flavors enough. It also lacks oil, and the noodles are very thin. Is that a characteristic of French noodles? They're overcooked for my taste. It would have been better to be able to choose the quantity, how cooked the noodles are, their thickness, and the level of oil and spices (like in Japan). Furthermore, the service was too slow; we were served after a 30-minute wait. Is that normal in France? For me, it's unacceptable. I find it regrettable that people think this is 'real Japanese food.'"

The menu is amazing, I loved everything! It can get really crowded in the evenings, so be ready to wait in line outside. Totally worth it though.

Ramen, a dish that looks simple but is complex and time-consuming to prepare. Almost everything is homemade: the broth, the noodles, the slow-cooked meat (so tender!), and even the fermented soybean paste that forms the base of the broth. We've been coming for years, and we've never been disappointed by the quality.

Fast service.. Large portions, to my personal taste, only if it was more spicy. Beer perfect 💯.. It's usually crowded, so we waited about 10 minutes for a free table.

Excellent, but there's a wait between ordering and receiving your food. Arrive as soon as they open, otherwise you'll have to wait outside until seats become available inside.

A wonderful discovery! I had an absolutely delicious beef curry: flavorful, well-balanced, and not too spicy—truly excellent. The meat was tender, and the sauce was bursting with flavor. The restaurant is small but cozy, with an atmosphere reminiscent of a Japanese yatai (屋台): a simple, specialized, and authentic place, almost like a street-food joint. I really like this intimate concept focused on a single specialty. The waitress was lovely and very welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One small drawback: the lighting is rather dim, making the space a bit dark. A little more sophisticated lighting could make the atmosphere even warmer. Another point to note: the pork-free ramen options are limited on the menu. Since I don't eat pork, I would have liked to have a meat alternative (beef or chicken) as part of the set menu, without having to resort to a vegetarian or more expensive option outside of the set menu. Despite this, the experience was very positive, and I will gladly return.

Everything was great, having tried almost all the dishes. You have a choice of quantities and sizes for the specialties, which means there's something to satisfy every appetite. However, on certain days and during certain services, it's very busy, and sometimes the wait can be a bit long, and you'll be eating in a rather noisy environment. If you're not in a hurry, it's fine.
