Refuge Auberge du Col de L'Arpettaz sur Ugine

Passing through on my bike to do the loop starting from Ugine, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this mountain refuge nestled in a beautiful setting. Facing Mont Blanc, we enjoyed a delicious plate of potatoes with smoked bacon and a goat cheese tart. Absolutely delicious! Moreover, the owners were friendly and attentive. Pure bliss! I'm already planning to cycle the Route de la Soif (Thirst Route) with them, and we'll definitely be back for another meal.

A welcome refuge after a 1500m climb by bike from Albertville, finishing in the fog, at 9°C! A good, hearty omelet with a nice salad; €14, a fair price. Friendly welcome. A good place to eat.

A wonderful, welcoming, and friendly team (especially if you love cycling!). I'll always remember the exceptional Croziflette (a local potato and cheese dish) during my half-board stay! We'll definitely be back!

The mountain pass refuge... a friendly place... a very popular cycling route... the food is excellent, made with simple, fresh ingredients... the welcome is warm, the scenery idyllic! I highly recommend it...

Stopped for much needed refreshments after cycling up the mountain. A delicious bottle of a local Cola and a home made slice of Blueberry and Raspberry tart hit the spot. Amazing views from the terrace.

The restaurant is a delight. The road is tough, but the reward is incredible.

A wonderful family time! Despite the crowds, we didn't have to wait for our meal as we had ordered the day before. The view was exceptional; we are truly lucky to live in such a beautiful region. Everyone needs to take care of this area to avoid polluting it. It's a very peaceful place, accessible by bike or for beautiful hikes – a must-do! We'll definitely be back. A wonderful time at the Col de l’Arpettaz refuge. The service was very pleasant, the meal was excellent, and the view was magnificent. I highly recommend it!
