Refuge de Doran sur Sallanches

Arrival with 7 adults and 50 students, a magnificent refuge and exceptional welcome. The dormitories are very clean and very pleasant. The evening meal, homemade, very good. The breakfast at the top, homemade jams, honey from a neighboring beekeeper. The most exceptional thing, in my opinion, the people who manage and work are adorable. See you soon with my little girl. A fairly hard 1hr+ slog uphill from Burzier is well worth it. Friendly staff, cheap coffee and the most fabulous setting in this glacial shaped alpine hanging valley hidden away above Sallanches... feels totally different to all other locations in the valley.

After a hike, you can find a refuge with a beautiful view, to enjoy nature and taste something delicious from the local menu

Superb experience. When we arrive at the shelter, we are amazed! The view is magnificent. It’s a total change of scenery while still receiving a 4-star welcome. The meal was delicious and the shelter is extremely clean! TOP. And the highlight of the show: lunch with the sunrise and seeing the chamois (using binoculars) right opposite. A treat from start to finish.

Coming with 16 people, we spent our first night in a shelter It will be a great memory: breathtaking panamora, top-notch welcome, typical home-cooked meal, very clean and full of charm. A very good address.

We went up on the weekend of July 20/21 as a family for our mother's 75th birthday. An unforgettable weekend, we were very well received, we had an excellent evening. Very nice location, we grabbed a drink when hiking in the mountains, the drinks are reasonably priced and the location has really great views.

A great welcome with a very nice team! The places are very cute and we have the luxury of being able to take a hot shower after the hike. Very good dinner and breakfast. See you soon.
