We stopped there during a hike for a beer and apple juice, which were very good. Beautiful setting, stunning views, and very peaceful. Cash only, but they accept instant bank transfers, which is a plus :)

The Tinderets refuge is magnificent, a wonderful discovery starting from Lac des Plagnes. Allow 45 minutes through the alpine pastures, with stunning views along scenic trails. The staff is really friendly; the cheese omelet and Tinderets salad with blueberry vinaigrette are delicious! The spiced apple juice is also excellent. You can also stay overnight; there are 13 places available, but reservations are required. A very beautiful setting for lunch.

Located in a stunning setting overlooking Lake Plagnes, the team welcomes you with kindness and warmth. The food is delicious and healthy, made with local produce. An excellent stop for lunch. We'll definitely be back because they're well worth it. 😉

A mountain refuge with a rather steep access. Food and drinks are available. Friendly service; you can go there at your leisure.

Passing through on a gloomy March day, Hugo generously welcomed us with an Italian coffee that brought sunshine back into our hearts. Clean refuge, friendly host, coffee cheaper than in the valley. Nice location.

14/07/2026: Very clean room, TV, bathtub, comfortable bed, Wi-Fi. A big plus: there's a shared lounge upstairs with a large TV, a large terrace, and a refrigerator. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, smiling, and helpful. Breakfast was good, with local cheeses and charcuterie. Right in the heart of the village. Excellent value for money.
03/05/2026: We had a very home-like experience, both in terms of atmosphere and food (simple but hearty). The service was a bit disorganized; many of the staff were very pleasant but seemed somewhat disorganized (and their French wasn't great). Beautiful location and lovely establishment...👍

14/03/2026: Once again, we had a wonderful time at the hotel restaurant. A very warm welcome, authentic cuisine with a truly amazing fondue and homemade desserts. We'll be back!
01/03/2026: A lovely hotel with a very warm welcome. The staff were professional and courteous. A special thank you to Sabrina who, throughout our stay, dedicated herself to making it as pleasant as possible. Thanks also to the chef for the wonderful meals: a cuisine to discover, specialties to devour, and a cheerful atmosphere right from breakfast (absolutely fantastic!). The location is ideal for enjoying the ski areas of Essert and La Chapelle d’Abondance or for exploring the surrounding area. We will be back. Hélène and Fabrice.
