Unfortunately, they only accept cash! It's a shame when you arrive at the top after driving up the drive and then can't get anything. The cake slices are also relatively expensive (€7.90 each). Otherwise, it seems quite nice :)

Warm welcome. The terrace is pleasant. Delicious and generous portions of typical regional dishes.
Two main courses, desserts, and coffee. €68, no drinks included; we took the free carafe of water.
The refuge does not accept credit cards.

Exceptional service: the meal and its quality were very good, and I'm not even mentioning the desserts, which were incredible, with real slices of homemade pie.
Excellent value for money.
The staff were also very welcoming.

Very rude to foreign people (or likely as we are cyclists?), hopefully they realise that and get some new management as this kind of tourism is the main focus on some of these climbs

To say that the tarts at this mountain hut are incredible is a massive understatement; they are far, far better than some I’ve tasted at renowned pastry shops. The ingredients are simple, plenty of the star ingredient, perhaps topped with a concentrated reduction of that same element, while the pastry is light and the butter isn't overpowering.
