The tarte flambée was exactly to my liking. The only downside: the service... They put the cutlery and plates on the table, and you're left to serve yourself. Please pay attention to the table... we were constantly looking for you to order more tarte flambée, and we were also waiting to order dessert... which we ultimately didn't... we were constantly calling for every request... they never came to our table to answer any of our questions. Your tarte flambée is really good, but please come and see us, we don't bite... thank you 🙏

Warm welcome, very good food. The tarte flambée is excellent, and they always have it. It gets quite busy, so it's a bit noisy. There's hardly any wait. When I see negative reviews, I think people are just jealous, worried about the competition... A restaurant worth visiting without hesitation...

I've been going there regularly for 25 years. However, with increasingly less enjoyment. The new, larger terrace makes sitting outside nicer and a bit easier, but also more hectic. Due to the lack of other places serving tarte flambée, it's simply overcrowded. Especially when there are large events in nearby Baden-Baden. Without a reservation, you're not exactly greeted warmly. You're clearly disrupting their business. The waitress on my last visit was visibly overwhelmed and correspondingly frantic. It took several attempts to take our order correctly! The frog legs were excellent; we shared them as an "appetizer." My wife's tarte flambée, however, wasn't cooked through. Our request to put it back in the oven briefly was initially refused because it had already been "cut." Only after lengthy discussions did they finally agree. The result was predictably mediocre and presented with corresponding rudeness. We will go in search of another source of tarte flambée where the otherwise highly valued Alsatian hospitality is still practiced, even if it means traveling a few kilometers further.

I used to find it much cozier. The service was also better in the past, and the reservation rules aren't exactly easy to understand. Unfortunately, the renovations have diminished some of the Alsatian charm for me. The food still tastes fantastic, though you might have to wait a little longer. It's not for people in a hurry, but that's part of what makes the place special for me.

For me, the best tarte flambée restaurant in Alsace! This now modernized establishment looks back on a very long tradition. I used to go there with my father... and it's been a wonderful experience ever since 😃 Reservations are recommended.

If you love Alsatian tarte flambée, then this is the place for you! Just a glance at the cars in the parking lot reveals that some of the guests come from far and wide. It's not uncommon to see license plates from Stuttgart or Frankfurt – and that pretty much says it all. 😊 We've been coming to this restaurant for at least 50 years. We first experienced it when it was run by the grandparents, then later by the parents, and now it's managed by the daughter. Now that's true loyalty! 😉 After the renovation, we don't like the new decor quite as much as we used to. Back then, the restaurant had a very special, old-fashioned, and typically Alsatian charm that we loved. But of course, we understand that the next generation wants to bring their own, somewhat more modern and fresh style. If you'd like to come on a weekend evening, be sure to make a reservation in advance. It gets very busy, and they don't accept reservations after 6 p.m. ... But as with all good things, the wait is worth it: once you're seated at the table, you can look forward to delicious tarte flambée and a good bottle of Riesling. And all at absolutely fair prices. A favorite spot for us for decades – and hopefully for many more to come!

The food was delicious, just like it used to be. Unfortunately, the renovations have significantly diminished the charm of the place. The sergeant at reception wasn't as friendly as he used to be. However, the staff serving the food were diligent and friendly.

Delicious tarte flambée, good wine, and good value for money. It was busy even on a weekday, so reservations are recommended. Unfortunately, one of the servers was very unfriendly, which somewhat marred the otherwise good impression.
