Delicious, typical Alsatian food can only be found here! Everything is so tasty 😋. A lot of things in the dining room were recently freshened up, so the atmosphere is wonderful, fresh, and authentic. I'll definitely be back.

Delicious, just like 40 years ago. The old charm is gone. It probably couldn't survive like that. New is different, but also very good! Here's to the next 40 years!

Delicious Alsatian dishes. From frog legs and tarte flambée to snails and braised ox cheeks. Everything is fresh and very good. A must-visit when we're in the area. The quality is consistently excellent. Great value for money.

The best tarte flambée restaurant in northern Alsace. The ambiance and decor are rather unspectacular, but the tarte flambée (an incredible selection!) is probably the best far and wide! Highly recommended!

The food was a disaster; I expected much more from Alsace! You can probably get a good tarte flambée here... but I wouldn't recommend the schnitzel or liver salad... there are much better options... €14 for two beers... that was the last straw.

As always on the return trip from Alsace, a short stop in Röschwoog. Delicious tarte flambée, authentic Alsatian.

Based on a TripAdvisor recommendation, we visited the restaurant La Couronne de Roeschwoog. Here's a more nuanced review: 1.) Service: sometimes pleasant and friendly, but sometimes indifferent; several staff members walked past our table without taking away the empty plates. When the food was served, there was no question about whether we wanted mayonnaise or ketchup, or – after serving – whether everything tasted good; even at the end, there was no inquiry about whether everything was satisfactory. 2.) Atmosphere: apparently quite nice inside, but outside the chairs are wobbly plastic; smoking is permitted, which is unacceptable while eating in a restaurant! 3.) Food and drinks: Coke Zero and Crémant: you can't go wrong with those. Snails as an appetizer: good. Chicken liver salad: good. Steak with vegetables and fries: definitely needs improvement. The fries were too soft and unsalted, served in a stainless steel bowl (along with the main courses on rustic plates). The steak was okay (but nothing more). The vegetables (beware!) consisted of two tablespoons of canned peas and carrots carelessly dumped on the plate – absolutely unacceptable! Therefore, only 3 (1/2) out of 5 stars; we will not be eating there again.

The restaurant impresses with its rustic and cozy ambiance. Since the renovation, the atmosphere has improved significantly – everything feels more modern without losing the restaurant's charming character. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome here. The tarte flambée is particularly noteworthy. It's always served quickly, freshly prepared, and tastes absolutely delicious. The selection is varied, and the quality is consistently high. The service also deserves praise. The staff are always polite, friendly, and attentive. Especially during peak hours, some servers might seem a little stressed, which is perfectly understandable in a busy restaurant. Don't let that put you off: as soon as you have a question or need anything, you'll receive friendly and professional service. Another plus is that you can easily order in German, which is certainly convenient for many guests. We always enjoy coming here and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.
