Restaurant A la Truite sur Illhaeusern

The Valentine's Day menu was delicious! The service was impeccable as always, kudos to the two young people for their responsiveness!

We had a wonderful family meal at La Truite, l'Illhausern. It was a fantastic discovery! The lunch menu is simply incredible: very generous portions, beautifully presented, and excellent value for money (around €19 for a starter, main course, and dessert). The food is delicious, plentiful, and prepared with care—you can tell the ingredients are fresh and expertly handled. The service is impeccable: warm, attentive, and quick without being rushed. A special mention goes to the lovely terrace, which offers a superb view of the surrounding countryside—a truly relaxing experience. It's a place where you feel comfortable, where the food is excellent, and where you'll want to return. I highly recommend it, especially for the lunch menu, which is a great deal. Well done to the whole team for this wonderful experience!

A very pleasant meal, excellent in a glass-walled room with a magnificent view of the Ill river.

Fabulous fish sauerkraut! Delicious fried carp and a magnificent wine list, including several pages of Alsatian wines. Not to be confused with the Auberge de l'Ill just across the bridge, but anyway, I'm a big fan of fish, especially fried carp and fish sauerkraut. It's truly a treat! A lovely, comfortable, contemporary dining room overlooking the banks of the Ill River. Be sure to make a reservation.

A very warm welcome. The foie gras is excellent, and so is the wine. Exceptional setting.

A superb restaurant. The staff are incredibly welcoming. The cuisine is impeccable, whether it's fried carp, an exceptional venison stew, or trout with almonds. Truly a place not to be missed. My congratulations to the Poujol family.

Excellent food and welcoming staff

Very nice restaurant overlooking the river, sober and elegant decor, mixed welcome, a young waiter visibly inexperienced, behind the bar, keeps his head down and does not notice us until another waiter welcomes us more kindly this one... As for the meal, everything was good (except the fries, but hey, we are not in Belgium...) excellent meat, perfectly cooked, and an exceptional dessert: the kougelhopf iced with kirsch... very good value for money... a good address to keep in mind.
