Restaurant A la Truite sur Illhaeusern

The restaurant has recently been completely and beautifully renovated. I like to go there for the dish of the day, economical and always excellent. Today, pumpkin soup, roast chicken, accompanied by fries and a salad, blueberry pie. A good beer well drawn on that. All for less than €20. The new decoration is pleasant and the atmosphere rather cozy despite the room being almost full. Terrace overlooking the Ill. Impeccable disabled toilets, with changing table, on the ground floor. Easy disabled access. I can only recommend it, because in addition to the dish of the day, the house offers a beautiful menu. Note: Paul Haeberlin considered the place his canteen when the Auberge de l’Ill, opposite, was closed. As I understand it. (In catering, I reserve 5 stars for gourmet restaurants... if they deserve them. When I see fatty kebabs with 5* I tell myself that we don't all have the same taste buds. Mine are fine, thank you).

A great discovery, well-mastered freshwater fish dishes, beautiful room overlooking the Ill Special mention for the lady who served our table upstairs, a very attentive, discreet and pleasant person.

We ate there for a family celebration. Newly renovated on the ground floor. Very tastefully decorated. Excellent food and very attentive service! Only recommended!

There were 9 of us, everyone was satisfied with their dish. Warm welcome and service despite the crowds! 4 stars for the service because of a few oversights Beautiful setting with a beautiful view of the Ill. We will come back with pleasure to eat the famous matelote of our childhood (to be ordered in advance)

The carp fillets fried in semolina are a success. The vast majority of edges are well removed. The setting is very pleasant and the view of the river is calming.
