Restaurant Albatros sur Audierne

We ate very well, quickly, and the waitresses were lovely and smiling!

The food was good, with "homemade" dishes, but that didn't excuse the interminable wait during this Ascension Day long weekend: an hour's wait between arrival and the starter, then another hour between the starter and the main course. They cited a lack of staff in the kitchen, but in that case, why offer a second seating after 9 pm when the 7:30 pm arrivals hadn't even had their dessert yet? The waitresses did their best and were very pleasant and friendly, but the kitchen couldn't keep up with the filling of the tables. We understand that the dishes should be prepared fresh, but there are limits. We were kindly offered a drink to compensate for the wait, but we still would have preferred to have dinner in under 2.5 hours. The €34 three-course meal was reasonable for quality ingredients.

Excellent, simple, homemade cuisine, with a very friendly welcome and service. Plus, a view of the port of Audierne from the covered terrace. It's lovely!

Consistently good food at this nice place on the main quay. Seafood especially, excellent sauces, good desserts, nice burgers w fries. Straightforward good food.

My wife and I had the house specialty - she the cassolette de trois poissons and me the cassolette de merlu. She said hers was terrific, and mine was delicious, with a delightful lemon oil sauce.

The staff is fantastic, friendly and always smiling. The food is very good and offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it!
