Nous avions au départ réservé pour 22h. A la demande du restaurant, il nous a été demandé d’avancer notre venue à 21h30, ce que nous avons accepté. A notre arrivée à 21h34, le serveur nous accueille avec un désagréable « On ne vous attendait plus ! ». Le même serveur prend notre commande avant de revenir nous informer que les menus choisis ne sont plus disponibles et que nous devons prendre les plats des menus à la carte !!!
Les mets, dans leur ensemble, étaient savoureux. Mais un morceau de loup de 2 cm de largeur sur 3/4 cm de longueur et 1 cm d’épaisseur pour 42€, c’est tout de même exagéré !
Nous avons l’habitude de diner dans des restaurants gastronomiques et étoilés, le Cagnard (en tout cas, compte tenu de notre expérience) n’est pas à la hauteur. Comme de plus en plus souvent en France, la qualité des plats et/ou des lieux est annihilé par des prix exorbitants et un piètre service.

Nous avons adoré cette excellente adresse : d'abord, un panorama exceptionnel depuis la ville médiévale vers la mer, rehaussé par la très belle salle de restaurant et son magnifique plafond (coulissant pour profiter du ciel et des hirondelles !). Et des mets raffinés aux multiples saveurs, servis par des collaborateurs souriants.

Very nice place, in the castle! Pleasant service, gourmet dinner and complimentary champagne for our anniversary! Magnificent room with a beautiful view! Large and beautiful bathroom!

I only rate the restaurant.
Good points :
- very good dishes.
- friendly waiter.
Negative points :
- appetizers (vegetable chips) brought before the menu choice. Then we choose the 5 senses menu in 5 courses, indicated after the amuse bouche on the menu. We only have 4 services, ask the waiter for an explanation, he only counts 4 too, then comes back to tell us after checking that the appetizer counts as a service. In principle why not but it's really not clear on the map. Why mention only one of the 5 services and then write a 5-course menu? Mystery...
- 32€ paid in addition to the bill, fortunately I checked the credit card ticket (reimbursed immediately).
- carafe of still water for €6.
Mixed impression overall despite the quality of the meal...

One of the best restaurant experiences I've had! But not the way I planned.. For my husbands birthday we wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner and this place looked amazing and is just around the corner from home. Only problem was the 7 month old baby. So the whole day was just preparing for a smooth evening. The baby fell asleep in his pram 10 min before our reservation and we thought we had done everything right. Just as the prosecco was poured into our glass the baby was awake. Damn. As parents the level of stress when a baby can potentially ruin the night of everyone at a restaurant is extreme. But it turned out to be a memory of a lifetime. The amazing staff went all in. Our baby is very curious and social, not screaming or being sad. Just wanting to participate in all the fun. Everyone talked to him, smiled at him, picked up his piece of bread from the floor (sorry!). As I tried to eat with one hand simultaneously keeping the fast strong baby hands away from the table my husband had to cut up my beautiful food in to pieces. The staff took the plate away to keep it warm and returned it with the pieces professionally arranged as if it was made to be eaten like that haha. Eventually we gave up on the nice dining room and took our dessert in the bar. They arranged a table for us and just kept being warm and friendly. I absolutely hate the thought of bringing a fussy baby to a restaurant and ruining everyones night, but our boy just wanted to see the spectacular venue and talk to all the amazing staff. Thank you so much for a night to remember.
