They often say that the most beautiful journeys are made by chance encounters, and ours last night was proof of that. A charming spot with a shaded terrace. Eugenie, the waitress, is a true professional, efficient (quick, helpful, and friendly) and lovely with all the customers, patient with some customers behaving completely inappropriately!

The last negative review from the Spanish tourists is false; we witnessed the scene, and the staff were polite and understanding. The tourists were disrespectful, arriving as if they owned the place and demanding a table be moved (two tables of four for six) even though a nice table had been offered to them. The team's welcome was perfect, and the food was very good and of high quality. A place to recommend! 👍

After reading a very harsh review posted just minutes before our arrival, we were a little worried. However, our experience was the complete opposite of what was described. We were greeted with great kindness and professionalism. The entire team was smiling, attentive, and efficient throughout the meal. The service was impeccable. The shaded terrace is a true haven of peace, in a bucolic and charming setting. As for the food, it is excellent, generous, and prepared with care. We actually witnessed the scene mentioned in the previous review. To be perfectly honest, we didn't interpret events that way at all. The staff remained calm and courteous despite the particularly insistent requests from customers who wanted to occupy two large tables, even though there were fewer of them. It seemed to us that the restaurant was simply trying to organize its dining room in a coherent way, which is perfectly understandable. It's a shame that an establishment offering such a warm welcome and cuisine of this quality is penalized by a review that, in our opinion, doesn't reflect our experience at all. We will gladly return and recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Cold cuts and a glass of wine on a hot day. Very nice.

Unfortunately, it's too expensive for the service they offer. It's a shame because the place would also be in an enchanting setting, for those like me who love the Impressionists. Inside the garden is the studio used by Monet. Served by a guy with a toothpick in his mouth. I'd say the service needs some work, and the prices too.

We visited the restaurant/hotel during a guided tour of Giverny (Claude Monet's hometown). The restaurant is largely preserved in its original historical state. Inside, there are countless reproductions of Monet's paintings on the walls. Besides the hotel, you should definitely visit the courtyard and the garden. In the courtyard, there's a small house that was used as a studio by the artists. The garden, which even once had grapevines, is now somewhat overgrown—but I can easily imagine the painter(s) sitting with their easel(s) and painting in the various open spaces.
