Restaurant Baudy sur Giverny

We had a wonderful dinner; everything was homemade, generously portioned, colorful, and made with very fresh ingredients. The service was impeccable, the staff friendly, energetic, and very attentive. Bravo! 👏👏❤️😍😍

The place is beautiful with elegant interior and the backyard is a surprise. But they only open the terrace for lunch, no service indoor. There are a lot of bees and flies around, I personally don’t really like dining there especially today it’s quite chilly. The staff are very nice though, they helped me changing to another table with the sun, it’s much warmer with the sun. I ordered the menu baudy. The entree I chose the beetroot with cheese, my main is salmon and the desert is vanilla ice cream with confiture strawberries. The beetroot is a bit too salty for me and I need to eat a lot of bread to refresh. The salmon was raw inside, I’m not sure if the chef wanted to keep it raw but I feel more likely it’s just the frozen salmon not cooked throughly. It’s not a sashimi standard salmon. Even though they re-heated for me, I don’t this should happen especially this isn’t a cheap place. The ice cream is ok, hut It’d be much better if they provide a lighter menu like entree+ main. I saw other peoples main like duck or steak look good though. Maybe my salmon is just an accidence I hope so

I completely disagree with influcid7's comment. Judging by the reviews of other restaurants, this person apparently often has diarrhea after leaving restaurants. It could be an intestinal problem, an allergy, or simply dishonesty. I have never been disappointed at this restaurant; on the contrary, the service and the food are top-notch. And I will gladly return.

The service is very fast. So much so that the pizzas are not cooked enough.

Beautiful setting with evocative early twentieth-century furnishings, it is the favorite place of the Impressionists in Giverny, a charming village an hour from Paris by train. Varied and exquisite menu, excellent hospitality from the staff. Acceptable price, given the location.

A restaurant with a crazy history! The food is excellent in a traditional atmosphere! If you're in Giverny, it's a must-see.

​We had a wonderful lunch at Restaurant Baudy! The food was delicious, but the best surprise was hiding in the back. Make sure you don't miss the inner courtyard and gardens—walking through them feels like stepping back in time. I highly recommend taking a walk around the yard!

A truly wonderful discovery, both for the food and the setting. The staff is particularly pleasant, smiling, and responsive. We also appreciated their professionalism when dealing with some customers who sometimes seem to confuse "being a customer" with "having absolute power," which deserves to be highlighted. As for the food, the dishes were not only delicious but also very generous. The value for money is therefore excellent, which isn't always a given in such a touristy place. We also had the chance to chat for a few minutes with the owner, who took the time to tell us the story behind several paintings in the restaurant. And we must mention the location itself, because Le Baudy isn't just a restaurant. It's part of the history of Giverny and all the artists who came to settle around Monet at the end of the 19th century. In short, we came for lunch and left satisfied, with the added bonus of a little art history lesson. Fortunately, there was no written quiz at the time of payment.

Except for a few waiters who seemed reluctant to serve, the rest was very good.

Nice place. It's a bit of a shame they don't serve cakes and/or ice cream in the afternoon. It's a shame the Sprite listed as 33cl on the menu only comes in 25cl bottles, costs €5.90, and doesn't even have a lemon slice.
