A restaurant opposite the Bordeaux market which offers excellent and varied meat dishes, with very very generous portions and at quite reasonable prices. I recommend it without hesitation.

This restaurant was a gargantuan brasserie reference 20 years ago. Driven by greed, we returned as a group in search of our past memories. The menu largely supported our hopes with a wide choice of dishes typical of a good French address. However, when the plates arrived, the shock was violent. Quantity and quality have indeed disappeared. While we really can't fault the number of egg and mayo in a €4 starter, we could still be disappointed by a bony rack of pork full of fat. In the end, if the service remains friendly and the setting still "in its own right", we were all disappointed by the cuisine. So if you too, memories of the past bring you back here, move on. If, however, you do not have any particular expectations, if the quality is not up to our expectations, the prices charged remain controlled compared to many other restaurants. In this aspect, the address will make people happy.

I haven't been there since the heyday, what's the matter? 10 years ? A little afraid at first of being disappointed and then no. The decor still has so much fun, which is normal when you keep the walls of the old butcher's shop. The welcome is excellent, but above all, there is a most royal prime rib! Difficult to find such quality at such a price elsewhere in Bordeaux. And there, 600 real grams, very thick, very juicy, very generous, 5 stars therefore.

Amis de la cochonaille et de la bonne viande foncez y 😉😉 . Mais ils ont aussi du poisson ( la lamproie est très bonne ) . L accueil y est sympa et chaleureux . Pas de réservation le dimanche midi .
