After a good hike in Bandol, I was looking for a place to eat that opened around 2 pm, and to my surprise, I stumbled upon L'Amiral. A warm welcome; you really get the feeling you're not intruding at that hour, which, in my experience, isn't always the case. Anyway, I settled in, feeling completely exhausted after a 13 km hike, and ordered a ribeye steak and fries to revive me, you know 😅, and a nice Mourvèdre de Bandol (red wine). The price-quality ratio was excellent... but after this wonderful experience, both personally and gastronomically, I encourage you to enjoy a pleasant moment there too 😍.

Excellent restaurant. Very good service. Professional and, above all, very friendly waitress. Very reasonable price for its location in a tourist area and facing the port. I highly recommend it.

A lovely and quite good brasserie, and not just for tourists! Well located, the welcome is very charming, as is the service, which occasionally overlooks requests (bread must be a rare commodity in Bandol?). The setting is cozy and you feel right at home. The dishes are simple yet well-executed; overall, the portions are quite generous and nicely presented. Pretty good value for money. A good establishment, or a good ship that knows how to sail well... and you won't get seasick! Isn't that right, Admiral?

Passing through the beautiful town of Bandol, we ate at "L'Amiral". A good restaurant; I particularly enjoyed the homemade burger. 4 stars because when dessert arrived, they were out of the "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee). What a shame! What must it be like in peak season?

While passing through the region for a week, we stopped by chance at this restaurant. The welcome was pleasant and friendly, which immediately put us at ease! We found the quality-price ratio excellent. We even went back before leaving, and were not disappointed either! If we return to Bandol, we will definitely go back!

29/09/2025: Friendly and very generous, the cuisine is tasteful 😁
11/08/2025: 1) The waitress was unfortunately nonexistent; the gray-haired man tried to compensate, but only partially succeeded. Our glasses were empty (meaning we had nothing left to drink). The water jugs were NOT clean; the surface was dirty. What I also can't stand is when people wipe their heads with paper after sweating and then don't wash their hands. 2) My brother ordered a Capirinha but received a Campari. Then we were told there was no such thing as a Capirinha. 3) Our daughter wanted fries with her schnitzel but received chunks of potato. 4) The two resident dogs (we have a dog ourselves) were running around the restaurant, which is fine, but one of them defecated next to the stairs, and this wasn't cleaned up immediately. This is absolutely unacceptable in a restaurant. 5) Some of the schnitzels (Milanese) were very tough because they hadn't been pounded. 6) Someone smoked an e-cigarette in front of me while I was paying the bill. This has no place in a restaurant. Bottle of white wine after Receiving criticism, however, does not change the facts.

27/12/2025: Fantastic fisherman's platter! Delicious, well-prepared seafood! The children's menus are classic but very good. The grilled cuttlefish was also delicious! Friendly waiters with a smile! It's a pleasure and a real treat! We'll definitely be back!
