This restaurant welcomes large dogs with great kindness. The staff are attentive and helpful, and their meal service is well-organized. We arrived without a reservation and were able to get a table at 11:45. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely time. We ate exactly what we came for: simple cuisine, good ingredients, a warm welcome, and enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetites. Special mention goes to the way they treated my child. We hesitated to go to the restaurant with our very young daughter, who has trouble staying at the table. They showed us several thoughtful touches, like an extra small plate, and when we caught her as she started running, they even offered to let her see the kitchen! I come from the North of France, where hospitality is a strong tradition, and I must say I wasn't expecting such a warm welcome.

I thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the Ô'lac restaurant, bar, and brasserie in Gérardmer (88400), as everything there was excellent and delicious. The brasserie is located near the lake, opposite the 4-star Beau Rivage hotel. Following my visit in November 2025, I can give you a complete overview of the Ô'lac Restaurant, Bar, and Brasserie with all the information you might want to know: Where is Ô'Lac located? Address: 8, avenue du 19 Novembre, 88400 Gérardmer. It is very close to Lake Gérardmer — “just a stone's throw from the lake.” It is situated between the lake and the town center, on a main avenue, with easy access for both pedestrians and drivers. Free street parking is available. The interior ambiance: The setting is described as typical, warm, and a “modern brasserie” with a “local/regional” Vosges-Alsace feel. The welcome was appreciated: smiling servers, friendly service, and a "very good atmosphere," according to customers. The decor blends an authentic Vosges style with a more contemporary layout after renovation. Some say the interior has been redone "with great taste." The establishment is accessible to people with reduced mobility. The outdoor terrace & the view: There is a street-side terrace. On sunny days, it is "very pleasant," especially in the evenings. From the terrace, there is a view of the lake. The terrace is a real highlight: a relaxing setting, pleasant for enjoying the lake, especially on sunny days. What I liked during my visit: The friendliness of the staff: attentive servers, smiles, and a warm welcome. The value for money: generous portions, good quality ingredients, and reasonable prices. The typical/regional dishes: Vosges specialties are showcased beautifully (Munster cheese, local recipes, etc.). The terrace: highly appreciated for its comfort and lake view. The fact that families can come, even with pets: dogs are welcome, and some customers say they were even provided with fresh water for their dogs. Specialties/Menu: Cuisine: traditional Vosges and Alsatian regional cuisine, brasserie style. The chef offers daily specials and à la carte dishes. Desserts and tea room: crêpes, waffles, ice cream. Some dishes are particularly popular: mussels and fries, chef's burger, escalope, steak tartare, beef with Munster cheese, etc. Regional recipes: Vosges specialties such as Munster cheese, Cancoillotte cheese, and appetizers and main courses featuring Alsatian, Lorraine, and Vosges flavors. Prices: Average per person is €20–30. The set menu starts at €19 for adults and €12 for children. Indicative price range: €15–€20 (crepes/brasserie); this may vary depending on the dish.
