Restaurant Brasserie Olac sur Gerardmer

Easy parking, we arrived at a good-sized table. Upon arrival, we walked past three servers, no greetings, no welcome. Okay... We waited 25 minutes before being offered an aperitif. As for the meal, the foie gras was a pleasant surprise (except for the fruit, which needs improvement). The cracker was delicious, and the starter plate was decent. The flank steak was a good size with homemade maître d'hôtel butter. The risotto and beautiful scallops were also lovely. The dessert was generous. I've never understood why they make such large desserts, half of which is often thrown away. Make half the portions and half the price. Less waste, less spoilage, and above all, you'd have more customers tempted if the portions weren't so large. The food was good and homemade. The service needs improvement. The atmosphere was quite noisy, and frankly, putting on a football match on TV is inappropriate in this type of restaurant unless you're a truck driver.

It was very good, the service was quick, and the staff were friendly. We will gladly return.

It's a shame, it used to be a really welcoming and friendly place, but now I think things have changed.
