Very nice brasserie, and we had a delicious meal. It is terrible that there has been a fire in the meantime; hopefully, it will be rebuilt quickly. Wishing the staff strength.

A very popular establishment in the center of Gérardmer, right in the heart of the town center, the tables fill up almost as soon as it empties, and yet the staff are incredibly attentive to their customers.

We had a great time. A wide selection of dishes (pizzas, hamburgers, meat, or salads), generous and delicious portions. Reasonable prices. Friendly service and staff. I recommend it.

24/05/2026: My nose was bleeding and the lady at the hostel treated me extremely well because I wasn't staying at the hostel, I was out cycling!
22/04/2026: The beds are as sturdy as modeling clay (my friend Peter Pan's bed collapsed). The first minute he tried to put it back up, but he twisted his wrist. The food is disastrous, plus the portions are about the size of a rabbit's. 🐇🥕🐰

La Taverne Alsacienne

19/05/2026: Good experience at the Alsatian Tavern: I had a very good meal; the tarte flambée was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The servers were also friendly and the service pleasant. You can tell it's a very popular tourist spot. The only real downside (for me) is the lack of space between the tables; they're really very close together (20cm apart). So you have to like fairly cramped places. Personally, it's not really the kind of atmosphere I enjoy. But it's still a good place to eat a good tarte flambée in Gérardmer 😊
17/05/2026: Excellent food. Typical Alsatian dishes, a must-try. Reservations are essential if you plan to go on a weekend.
