Charming restaurant that is very popular, especially for Sunday lunch. You can sit outside under shade, in a salon under ceiling fans or back in the restaurant where it is air conditioned. The fixed price menu was 40 euro for three courses, but you get what you pay for. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere with lots of locals eating there.

Several mixed experiences at this establishment, which seems to be on the decline. It's a shame because it was once "the restaurant" in Perpignan. Our experience today leaves much to be desired. We felt like we were in a self-service restaurant with table service. The plates were presented like at home, the service was cold, and the taste was nowhere near as good. Add to that the exorbitant prices. It's an establishment we won't be setting foot in again.

The portion size was rather small. Café Vienne in Perpignan seems to be relying on its reputation as a historic institution when it comes to prices. I was a little disappointed that the food wasn't particularly enjoyable. At least the desserts were good.

We arrived at 6 pm. We were greeted warmly. Menu in Spanish. Quick service. Very good salad and a magnificent île flotant dessert.

20/12/2025: While looking for a local spot away from the tourist traps, I found La Suite, and what a delightful surprise. The colorful, inviting interior felt like stepping into someone’s warm, welcoming home. The lunch menu was fantastic. I had the split pea soup, which was rich and comforting, followed by beautifully seasoned eggplant caviar paired with a great glass of wine recommended by the staff. French, English and a little Spanish is spoken. For dessert, the chocolate coulant cake was absolutely heavenly, warm, decadent, and perfectly gooey in the center. La Suite is exactly the kind of authentic, heartfelt restaurant you hope to find when traveling. I left feeling genuinely nourished and can’t wait to come back someday. If you’re in Perpignan and want a meal that feels like home, this little gem is a must visit.
