Restaurant Cesar sur Bonnieux

We went there with friends. As much for the map as for the view of the Luberon. And everything OK 👌 Beautiful view. A short card which is a good sign. The owner who is also the chef welcomed us warmly. All the dishes are excellent and homemade. Special mention for the perfectly cooked 7am leg of lamb.

Good restaurant! Interesting layout. The chef is alone in the kitchen (we went at the end of August) but no real wait and beautiful original culinary compositions. Panoramic view. We recommend.

It was by chance that we stopped at the César panoramic restaurant. As luck would have it, we are very grateful to him for having guided us to this table, especially since the number of places is limited: this is not the factory! The menu is not plethoric either, everything is displayed on the wall. To sum up, we loved it! Cooked by the owner, with great precision. Without being original, it's tasty! Each vegetable is combined with its favorite herb without masking the taste for a delicate balance. The Camargue bull fillet, cooked with respect, is tender and tasty. The apricot tart is just exquisite, just caramelized accompanied by its top-notch Apricot Rosemary sorbet. We didn't taste everything, of course, but based on our neighbors' comments, everything seemed better than good. To finish, an essential point: everything is homemade and it can be seen and felt, from starter to dessert. All this for €50 per person: aperitif, main course, dessert and wine. No more expensive, or even cheaper, than the frozen menus of neighboring restaurants! In addition, a great welcome! Enough to end our day in style.

We had dinner here and it was a solid 4 stars. Some small tweaks would bring it to 5 stars. The food here is outstanding, made with the freshest ingredients. It's a husband and wife team which leads to one of the biggest issues: We have one chef cooking for the entire restaurant so be prepared to wait 30 min to get your starter and 45 min to get your entrees. I know this is France and we are used to taking our time eating here but this was slower than almost all the restaurants we've been in.. I saw some tables getting impatient. The food itself was delicious. I especially loved her tomato and cheese in a jar (presentation could be better but the flavors were unique and unbeatable). My sea bass was perfectly cooked with crispy skin. My husband's steak was the best he's had during our trip. We had to skip dessert because the meal took too long and we were tired. If you're not in any rush and want to enjoy a leisurely dinner with wine and good food this place is great! Pricing is fair and well. Decor could use an update

Attention objective opinion: To begin with, don't expect a panoramic terrace! The restaurant room is CLOSED (non-smoking) and the view is only through a few windows... we're all appreciable but it's not a bay window that would REALLY offer a panoramic view... As for the cuisine: a REAL delight: only fresh, local, high-quality dishes cooked with care and great mastery (decorated with incredibly generous aromatic herbs!) Don't be alarmed by the prices which are largely justified in view of the dishes offered! On the other hand, don't be in a hurry! Despite a low attendance (around ten people) the extended service time did not allow us to reach the desserts, to our great regret because we are sure that they would have been just as delicious as the starters and main courses. dishes (we had a show at the Château du Marquis de Sade scheduled for 9:30 p.m.) Service side: Only one person (the boss) seemed preoccupied and overwhelmed, the exchanges were cold and solemn, no concern for his guests who lacked bread and water... I was forced to get up and go begging.. Location wise: be careful, located in the middle of the village, the parking spaces are far away and rare and walking is perilous along the roadside Answer: learn to read and open a dictionary 😉... with this kind of reaction you don't even deserve my objectivity.. it's really unfortunate.. now I even regret the money spent in your establishment. 👏
