Restaurant Creperie La Musardiere sur Giverny

La Musardière was one of the true highlights of our two weeks in France. We chose it because we wanted to spend a night in Giverny before visiting Monet’s house and gardens the following morning, but we had no idea we were about to discover such a beautiful and memorable place. The hotel is incredibly charming, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed, with lovely views across Giverny and the surrounding hills. Our room was beautiful, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the air conditioning kept everything perfectly cool even as a major heat wave was beginning. What stood out most was the staff. We saw many of the same people welcoming guests at the hotel and then working incredibly hard throughout dinner service. Everyone was so kind, friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Their warmth and care made the entire experience feel personal and special. And then there is the restaurant—absolutely extraordinary. We chose the four-course chef’s menu with wine pairings, and it became one of the most incredible meals we have ever experienced. Every course was creative, elegant, and completely delicious. The duck breast course was especially unforgettable. Our server was knowledgeable, gracious, and kind, speaking French with me so I could practice and then translating everything into English for my wife. Sitting outside on the terrace in the evening, enjoying this beautiful meal and the perfectly selected wines, was pure magic. Our deepest compliments to the chef and the entire hardworking team. We would return to La Musardière without hesitation and recommend both the hotel and restaurant wholeheartedly.

We had a lovely dinner outside enjoying the three course menu which proved to be good price quality. We can recommend the rilettes and the Cesar salad.

A very good dinner for my daughter's birthday, just a large piece of eggshell in the otherwise perfect egg, which consequently wasn't perfect anymore! That's why I'm removing one star. Sincerely, Mrs. Dreyer

First experience (I live nearby!!) went well. Remind customers that the terrace is non-smoking (cigarettes and vapes), especially when there are small children present. Everything went well.

We really enjoyed our stay and meal here. It is right by Monet house, and made for a much better experience than driving back to Paris. The staff was great/friendly and the food was excellent. The only possible drawback is just that it is in a cool old building but it is a little cramped (which is not unusual but would be a problem if you have trouble with stairs, carrying luggage up them etc.)
