Stay for a few days in this charming hotel, which is extremely quiet although central. The decoration may seem outdated but it is personalized and so warm. Very attentive staff. Good bedding. Despite the cramped bathrooms, the room is spacious and the view is pleasant. Everything was functional. The buffet breakfast is varied and plentiful. The dinners are worthy of a gastro both in terms of the service and the inventiveness of the dishes, the quality of the products and the mastery of the cooking. We will come back !

We have been visiting this hotel every year for thirty years in April. We are able to compare it with the experience we have of this hotel range in France and in different countries in Europe or outside. We find it very endearing for the qualities that are mentioned in its presentation: the charm of a 17th century house, its location in the old village of Monêtier but with pleasant views of the mountain, its proximity to the terms, but also the state of mind maintained by its owner, family, good-natured, with "real" furniture, fine paintings, an iconography in harmony with the history of this "house" also impregnated with classical culture through the setting available to high-profile publications, such as Connaissance des Arts and many others. For us and all those who appreciate being able - again - to get off the beaten track, in danger of disappearing under the effect of the proliferation of standardized "chains", we hope that the Auberge du Choucas continues for a long time to continue its original approach, testifying of a certain idea of ​​living well. Nous sommes tombés par hasard sur cette auberge très jolie, le cadre est vraiment authentique et bien conservé. Petit déjeuné au top avec un excellent service et accueil!
