The menu we enjoyed was simply perfect, a testament to the chef's talent and creativity. The starter, the chicken and veal pâté en croûte with black trumpet mushrooms and apple chutney, was a masterpiece. The apple chutney provided a sweet and tangy touch that perfectly balanced the dish. It's a starter well worth the trip for anyone who appreciates a modern twist on classic regional cuisine. The duck breast fillet was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The side dishes, particularly the leg prepared finger-style and the layered beetroot, demonstrated impeccable technique. The Cumberland sauce elegantly brought everything together. A flavorful dish that will delight even the most discerning palates. To finish, the quince pavlova was the ideal final touch. Light, fruity, and visually stunning, it ended the meal on a refreshingly delicious note. Warm and Professional Service Beyond the food, the service was impeccable. The team is welcoming and friendly, and you truly feel pampered from beginning to end. Quick tip: Book in advance! Our only small point is that some themed menus require all guests to order them. It's a minor detail, but it's helpful to know when booking online!

The food was excellent, the menu was superb! It's a shame about the service at our table; we weren't given any information about the dishes being brought, probably because we were a group.

What a pleasure to dine at L'Ecluse 16! After several years away, my opinion remains the same. The food is still just as good and refined, and the price is reasonable for what you get. The staff is incredibly attentive and responsive. I highly recommend it.

The restaurant is idyllically located on the Saar Canal (Lock 16). Getting there is a bit tricky, but with a GPS, it shouldn't be a problem. The menu, with its set menus and individual dishes, is very well-designed and offers something for every price range. The wine list features a large selection of excellent wines from the best vineyards in France. The service is very friendly, unobtrusive, and always very attentive. We really enjoyed our first evening here and will definitely come back!
