Restaurant des Rosiers sur Paris

A very good, old-fashioned restaurant in the Marais district, and excellent value for money. We received a very warm welcome.

A lovely little Parisian restaurant in the heart of the Marais. Small dining room, small terrace, with good, simple cuisine prepared on-site by the owner: coq au vin, steak tartare, calf's liver... beautiful and delicious homemade pastries grace the counter. Prices are very reasonable. The owner is the waiter. A Parisian and French interlude.

Magnificent!! Home-cooked meals prepared by the lady of the house, featuring delicious dishes we love: beef bourguignon, calf's liver, and a selection of excellent homemade tarts for dessert. It's simple: as soon as a table becomes available, it's immediately occupied again. A lovely, old-fashioned bistro atmosphere, without any pretension. The owners are delightful. I loved it and highly recommend it.

A bistro like they don't make anymore... Very good home-style cooking, their quiche is to die for, their prices are very un-Parisian, Les Rosiers is truly magnificent in every way!

I had to come and leave a review for Les Rosiers because some of the negative reviews are honestly baffling. This place is about as Parisian as it gets — and that’s exactly the point. It’s not trying to be trendy, performative, or designed for Instagram. It’s a proper Paris bistro serving classic food without any fuss, and thank God for that. I’ve eaten here twice while stopping over for work, and both times I was welcomed with charm, warmth, and the kind of effortless hospitality that makes you remember why Paris does dining so well. The food is excellent: the meat is tender, full of flavour, and the potatoes are gloriously buttery and garlicky. And then there’s the lemon meringue. Order it, close your eyes, and take a moment to thank whoever’s looking down on you, because it’s superb. As for the complaints about it being cash only — honestly, grow up. Bring cash. People managed it perfectly well for thousands of years, and somehow civilisation survived. Not every restaurant needs to bend itself into an app-friendly, card-only, influencer-approved version of hospitality. Les Rosiers is authentic, unfussy, delicious, and unapologetically itself. Authentic and delicious Homemade The four of us ate Caesar salad, spinach and salmon lasagna, and calf's liver. Absolutely delicious! The service was very friendly.

For me, the best restaurant for miles around on all levels - authentic, good, and the cakes are amazing….

As authentic as it gets. My wife and I were walking through Le Marais when we stumbled upon this gem. She had the delightful zucchini and goat cheese quiche and I had the sublime tartare du bouef. We washed it down with a bottle of chardonnay which was exquisite. Exactly what what we expected from this years old, family-owned establishment. We topped it all off with a slice of lemon merengue pie and tart tartin as they are known for their desserts. Remember… no fries, music and no credit cards. But in this case, one must make an exception.
