Cool! Good Basque cake well located on the Way of St. James

Fantastic meal. I rediscovered the taste of my grandfather Henri's garbure, who passed away 20 years ago. The same taste, what a joy! It was also wonderful to still find, in 2026, a daily special for €16.50 including: Garbure Charcuterie Dish of the day (it was fish with sauce and eggplant gratin) Homemade dessert: a fabulous homemade Basque cake with cream The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I loved it! I'll be back, thank you!

Mr. Gaby takes great care to present my dad with beautiful dishes! I was able to taste them yesterday, and they were simply delicious, truly. From the appetizer to the dessert! Flawless! A real treat! I couldn't even finish the dessert, which I heard was really good! And the best part: I ordered two Basque cakes, and not just any cakes!! The best! The menu prices are unbeatable! Dad will be, and will remain, well-fed! And I thank you for that.

The meal was very good!! The waitress was very unpleasant... If you don't like service, you should consider a career change.

A delightful discovery. On Sunday, only one set menu was offered when we visited, but it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The dishes were flavorful and generously portioned. Special mention goes to the garbure, which was delicious. The only slight drawback was the Basque cake, which lacked a bit of authenticity. A warm welcome, efficient and very pleasant waiter. A place to remember.

A truly excellent place. Hearty and delicious traditional cuisine. The title of best garbure (cabbage and bean soup) is well deserved. The calf's head is a real treat. And truly homemade desserts. The owners and servers are top-notch. A place to discover and rediscover!

-Went this Monday, March 2nd, 2026, with my family. The king of garbure remains King Gaby, very good as always. Friendly welcome, fast service. Family restaurant with father and son in the kitchen. Excellent daily menu: garbure 😋🤤🥕🧄🧅🥔🥬; country salad 🥗; roast chicken 🐔🍗; new potatoes 🥔 and I had Basque cake with cream. We all had the daily menu for €17 and then Basque cherry cake 🤤😉😋🍒 and homemade apple tart 😋🤤🍏🍎 and the chef's dessert of the day: vanilla whipped cream 🍦 and strawberries 🍓. We will be back.

Excellent garbure -- excellent meal -- really very good dessert -- fast and friendly service -- no waiting -- I highly recommend this very good restaurant
