Restaurant du Château sur Kaysersberg

01/04/2026: For €20 per person, we enjoyed a meal at this restaurant with two dining rooms and a small terrace (closed at the end of March 2026) overlooking the river. A colorful mural adorns the room near the bay window where we were seated (three steps up). The service was professional and discreet. The atmosphere is noisy when the smaller room is full. We ordered three tarte flambées (Ribeaupierre and Munster cheeses) for €14.50, two glasses of Pinot Gris (€4.60 each), one Alsatian-style Coke Zero (Elsass Cola, €3.90), and one espresso for €2.70. My two companions really enjoyed the tarte flambées, finding them very thin and crispy all over. Personally, I prefer crispy edges and a softer center; otherwise, they remind me of a large potato chip. The toppings were decent. The serving board is made of plywood, as is sometimes the case. The food was quite good. The wine was good.

28/03/2026: Excellent! We chose a cold day with few tourists and the stews were delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly.
