Restaurant du Grand Saint Michel sur Chambord

We had dinner and were delighted with the service throughout. Everything was delicious, from the amuse-bouche to dessert, and thank you for the thoughtful touch with dessert. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive to their guests.

We had a wonderful time. The welcome was warm, the staff attentive, and the decor chic without being ostentatious. The dishes were beautifully prepared. Bravo for the pâté en croûte! And a special mention for the estouffade with its fruit compote.

A magnificent hotel in the heart of the Chambord estate. The overnight stay allowed us to explore the château's exterior on the day of our arrival and to visit the interior in peace and quiet the following day after an excellent breakfast. The decor is tasteful throughout, from the colors and materials to the objects. The rooms are very comfortable (the only slight drawback, but for the owners: I apologize for their heating costs due to poorly insulated windows. If I were them, I would cut the curtains shorter and use Velcro to insulate the window frames at night and allow the radiators to remain in the room by turning them down). Excellent teas and coffees were served at breakfast and in the room. I forgot to ask where the bread came from—it was fantastic! The grape juice was a rare find. There was also pear tart, homemade cookies, and original and delicious sautéed vegetables, to name just a few (it's a shame about the Granny Smith apples; I think there are local apples that would be better to offer. This is my only criticism of the breakfast). The staff were smiling and lovely throughout. The bar was lovely (don't give out so many mixed nuts to snack on! They're generous and delicious, but how will you be hungry for dinner afterwards? 😅). Welcome drinks were provided. My child received a very nice quality plush toy. The views from the bar and restaurant were magnificent. In short, we were delighted. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our stay.
