We had dinner on a Tuesday evening; it wasn't very busy, and the atmosphere was quite cozy. The decor is decidedly rustic but clean. The food was good, and the fish was cooked perfectly. The only downside was the bread, which was unacceptable, inedible, and certainly day-old or even two days old, or defrosted. A shame, considering it was perfect for accompanying the 24-month-aged Comté cheese and for dipping in the sauce for those who like it. For dishes at this price, it justifies the bill.

A very beautiful place, though a bit dated.
The service doesn't match the setting.
The food is excellent.
Charging a one euro per person for parking is very unreasonable, especially since someone is there to watch the car park and you tip them.

The meal was delicious and flavorful. We loved the sea bream with the Vin Jaune sauce! And the service was impeccable.
The setting is superb. You dine right on the banks of the Marne, and the building is full of charm.

The restaurant's name is quite fitting, and frankly, we ate very well. For the first time, I can say I wasn't ripped off with a Smartbox, as I discovered this restaurant through that voucher. And all this with a remarkable wine at a very reasonable price for a gourmet restaurant.

This isn't our first time... We come to this restaurant to celebrate special occasions. We had a wonderful meal tonight: delicious and refined cuisine.

Thank you for the wonderful time we spent at L’Écu de France on Valentine’s Day. The setting is elegant, the atmosphere warm, and the dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious. The attentive service made the evening even more enjoyable. We will gladly return.
