Le Florida Gascony restaurant offers an exceptional culinary experience in a warm and authentic atmosphere. Gascon dishes, made with fresh, local ingredients, take center stage, striking a perfect balance between tradition and refinement. A daily lunch menu offers excellent value, along with a more sophisticated menu and à la carte options. The owner's Mexican heritage adds a touch of originality to some innovative dishes while successfully preserving Gascon tradition. And the subtle accent during conversations transports you while keeping you firmly rooted in Gascony. The sauces are expertly prepared and are an undeniable hallmark of the establishment! Bravo! A truly wonderful gastronomic discovery.

Disappointed by my New Year's Eve dinner at this restaurant after a 1.5-hour drive. The setting is intimate, which is nice, but some soft background music would have created a warmer atmosphere. The fireplace was presented to us as a plus given the cold weather outside, however, no flame was lit and I was cold all evening. The table decorations, while visually appealing, presented a practical problem: the Christmas ornaments on the table touched the cutlery, which I find unhygienic. Furthermore, being seated on plastic chairs for a meal of this caliber was unpleasant. As for the service, the presentation was meticulous with lovely silver cutlery, but in reality, the spoon used for the ravioli remained on the table until dessert, and the cheese knife wasn't changed, which is disappointing for an establishment of this standard. Furthermore, tables that arrived after us were served before us. Regarding drinks, the menu clearly stated that no alcohol was included, which I understand. However, for a New Year's Eve menu, a glass of champagne, a kir, or a welcome cocktail would have been a nice touch to mark the occasion. As for the meal itself, the menu looked very promising on paper, but the experience fell short. The foie gras was very good and well-seasoned, but I would have appreciated a suitable accompaniment, such as toast or gingerbread. The langoustine ravioli was practically nonexistent: the pasta was melted, the filling barely perceptible, and the quantity very small. The fish and meat dishes were good, but the portions were small and the garnish almost nonexistent. A few vegetables would have been welcome. The cheese course received no introduction whatsoever; I had no idea what I was tasting, and the cheeses offered all looked very similar. The dessert was tiny (barely bigger than a Ferrero Rocher), with little texture and flavor. Without the bread, I would have left the table still hungry. At €105 for the set menu, having to stuff yourself with bread to avoid feeling hungry is regrettable. The disappointment is real, and the value for money is clearly insufficient.

We've dined at Le Florida several times and have always been very satisfied. This year's Christmas lunch was a bit disappointing. The price was far too high for the portions. The champagne and wine glasses were very low, which wasn't the case in the past. Furthermore, we didn't receive our bill at the end. A shame for such a good establishment...
