Coming as a family for Easter lunch, we were very satisfied with the quality of your menu, both in terms of the presentation of the dishes and the flavors that were there. The young waitresses are welcoming and dynamic. The restaurant is warm, and the place is very well located in the village of Vézelay. See you soon in Puisaye!

Warm restaurant room. Very pleasant waitresses. We took the menus and were very pleasantly surprised at the value for money. Very good, very well presented. We had an excellent lunch.

We had planned to have a large group of lunches for a Christmas meal at the Cheval Blanc restaurant. We had ordered the majority of dishes in advance, to make work in the kitchen easier. So yes, there were still a few dishes to order, and some guests showed up 10 minutes late, had to take the time to look at the menu... this surely explains why we were so poorly received by the manager. Clearly, we were annoying him (even if we were polite and patient it seems to me) and learned that we were "looking down on people" by paying the bill (+600 euros all the same...) Okay . Sorry if that's the image we sent, but it's quite unpleasant. The rest of the staff were very friendly. The value for money is good, and the restaurant is ideally located for visiting Vezelay. Too bad about the poor reception!

The restaurant Le Cheval Blanc marked my stay in Vézelay: the dishes served there were very tasty and well executed, but the welcome received by the manager was rude and extremely unpleasant. Examples: when one of our guests wanted to know the beers served, she replied curtly that no beer was served in this establishment in the Burgundian region and that there was only wine here (so that beers were clearly indicated on the menu). Or again: when asking for advice on wine (the region's trademark, as this lady reminded us), we get looked down upon. It’s really very annoying when you are ready to consume and just want to be referred correctly. Two other young women at the service were attentive and very welcoming. I could have given it 5 stars, but for this objectively unpleasant welcome, I gave it 3. Catering is not only about cuisine, but also about hospitality.

The food at 'La Bonne Fourchette' is really good, offering a nice variety of tasty and well-prepared dishes. The ingredients used seem to be of quality and every dish we tried was satisfying. However, the experience was somewhat spoiled by the behavior of the manager, who was not very courteous. This attitude affected the atmosphere of the restaurant. I recommend this place for those looking for good food, but it is worth noting that the service could be improved.
