Restaurant Julien sur Plaine

Our experience at Julien's was mixed… The treatments/massages were flawless, everything was perfect from the welcome to the treatments themselves! However, things went downhill with the restaurant service. We had a waitress who, while very friendly, lacked the vocabulary in our language to handle someone with lactose intolerance. My partner nearly ingested lactose twice. The worst part was when the main course was served. We asked her again if it was the lactose-free version, and she confirmed it was. For several minutes, my partner and I examined the dish in detail and concluded that it did indeed contain lactose. So, we called our waitress back, she retrieved our two dishes, and after a short wait of 5-10 minutes without any further explanation, our dishes were returned, this time with a lactose-free version! However, another waitress was very helpful at the beginning of our shift, assisting her colleague who was having difficulty with allergens. In conclusion, we had a very mixed experience with the food due to the service. The dishes themselves were excellent, but the kitchen made a mistake with one dish by preparing it with lactose, which raises concerns about their handling of more serious allergies, such as peanuts. In our opinion, the price/quality ratio was poor, largely due to the service and the handling of allergens.

First time at Julien's! We had a Day Spa this Sunday. The decor is magnificent, the different areas of the spa are great, everything you need for a wonderful, relaxing day, not to mention the excellent restaurant and very fast service – we had a starter, main course, and dessert in 30 minutes! The only downside, considering the price, was that some equipment wasn't working, like the water jets in the Wellness jacuzzi and the foot bath, which unfortunately wasn't working either. Also, I found the water in the children's jacuzzi quite cold for a jacuzzi! Otherwise, we had a very good time.

We had an overall pleasant stay, but some aspects could be improved. First, the parking is insufficient given the number of guests, both hotel and spa visitors. This makes arrival inconvenient. Regarding the reception at the spa, the experience was disappointing. One of the employees explained everything in a very mechanical way, without smiling, and without really making sure that everything was understood. Another was particularly cold. This is a shame, as these are the first people you meet, and they give an important first impression of the place. On the other hand, the spa itself is magnificent, both inside and out. The setting is truly beautiful and pleasant. Lunch was excellent: very high-quality products, beautifully presented dishes, and impeccable service with smiling and attentive waitresses. No complaints there. One small drawback, however, concerns the bottle of still water: it's charged even though it's filtered tap water. It's still tap water, and it's regrettable to have to pay for it.

I commend the professionalism of the reception staff for their understanding and responsiveness to our last-minute request, as well as all the staff who served us. It had been a very long time since I had last visited this establishment; what a spectacular transformation, a true success! A guaranteed wow factor. As a couple, we spent a pleasant afternoon having lunch on the terrace. We quickly felt at ease and could really feel the family atmosphere the owner intended. The staff were warm and attentive while respecting the standards of the hotel industry. Despite a satisfactory price-quality ratio for this level of service, we noted that the price of some drinks was high.

Top-notch meals! I go there regularly with my family, especially at Easter to the restaurant. The welcome is always top-notch, as is the service. The advice given on wines and dishes is equally excellent! When it comes to drinks, you have plenty of choice. To really enjoy your meal, the menus are short to prioritize quality in both taste and presentation. Don't hesitate to go!

We have been staying at this hotel for many years. It's an establishment that is constantly evolving, striving for excellence. New renovations have just been completed, and they are top-notch. Everything is magnificent. An exceptional hotel. Incredible staff and a family who manage this hotel with a master's touch. Staying at Julien's once means taking the risk of never going anywhere else.
