Very welcoming, fairly quick service but the price is a bit high.

An unforgettable moment at La Chaumière. We had a wonderful evening with Sandrine and Yael. Thank you for this lovely time, which marked the end of our holiday in Puy St Vincent. The fondue was excellent!

A truly excellent place to visit. A warm and welcoming atmosphere with attentive service and a focus on customer comfort. The decor is elegant and tasteful, with a mountain style. The short menu suggests the exclusive use of fresh ingredients, and indeed it is 😉. The service is friendly, quick, and efficient, with a genuine desire to ensure customer satisfaction. Some of us ordered the four-cheese fondue, while others enjoyed the local cow's milk cheese... everything was delicious! Even the children's menu is fantastic, with its cornflake-crusted nuggets. In short, a wonderful time in a lovely setting! Prices reflect the quality. A huge thank you to the whole team, you're the best! (Reservations are essential given the restaurant's popularity 😉)

Positive points: - The servers were all friendly and very welcoming. At first, I thought they were all family, there was such a wonderful rapport and harmony among them. They were attentive to every need and the service was quick. They even offered a small digestif (at €8 a digestif, you can't refuse, especially since they were so good). - In terms of quality, having tasted the raclette, the fondue, the bone marrow, and all the desserts, it was absolutely perfect! Special mention for the tiramisu, one of the best (if not the best) I've ever had in a restaurant. The raclette and fondue portions are generous; it's hard to finish everything! - The atmosphere is very warm and inviting; you feel right at home. Negative points: - The overall price, especially the raclette at €32 and the bottles of wine, which I found a bit more expensive than in other mountain restaurants that were just as good. - The little extras that aren't mentioned by the servers, for example, the potatoes with the raclette aren't unlimited; you have to pay an extra €5 (especially since you need a lot to finish all that cheese), or the charcuterie platter offered with the fondue isn't included (I thought it was a vegetarian/non-vegetarian option; I should have known). It would be good if the servers mentioned this. But with a complimentary digestif, it's easy to forget. Conclusion: The credit card will get a bit of a workout, but the time spent here is worth it. A must-try, and I'll definitely be back. Excellent restaurant! Well done to the team!
