Restaurant La Coupe d'Or sur Lisieux

A great place to stay in the heart of Lisieux. The family room is spacious and quiet. We loved the breakfast, especially the homemade madeleines. The jams are also excellent!

We stayed at this hotel for one night. After having problems with our first room due to the noise from the kitchen ventilation system, we were moved to another room. The rooms are fine, but nothing extraordinary. The toilet seat was broken, the pipes seemed half-clogged, and when we came in, a damp smell hit our noses. Apart from that: clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was okay. Good for a stopover hotel.

I only went to the restaurant, but the food was very fresh! Delicious! Very well served, and not too long between courses! Congratulations to the whole team 😍🤩 I had a great time... I'll be back!! And I happily recommend it. Returned today, Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at noon: good but... Returned with family today, Friday, October 24, 2025 Disappointed: Very average service (I had to ask for cutlery/bread/the waiter didn't know how to open the bottle of wine properly/couldn't tell us anything about the wine served, even though it was placed closed on the table (when you offer wine, the least you can do is know it a little, even if you haven't tasted it!). No checking for bread crumbs on the table during service. The waiter didn't bother to clear the dishes properly (it felt like we were in a cafeteria). The waitress wanted us to order desserts right away. The wait time for a server to take our order and the wait time between courses was excessively long. When going to the restroom, dirty plates were lying around in front of the kitchen: not very pleasant, fear of getting stained). Disappointed: Most of the dishes were very small, so The prices haven't changed! Extremely expensive for what you get! Decent quality dishes Poorly presented dessert It's a shame!
