A truly wonderful restaurant in Avignon! La Cour d’Honneur offers refined cuisine, expertly prepared ingredients, and genuinely pleasant service. Special mention goes to the wine list, featuring some excellent selections like the Jaboulet Crozes-Hermitage, which perfectly complemented the meal. The atmosphere is elegant without being pretentious; you feel comfortable and leave satisfied. A sure bet in the city center—I highly recommend it.

The food is expertly prepared and excellent. The staff is very professional. The decor is very pleasant. You can go there without hesitation.

I confess I was misled by the "Gault & Millau" label and my craving for foie gras. Since it was evening in November, we dined in a rather charmless room (veranda-style). So, no "wow" factor from the lovely garden. Although the welcome was pleasant, I was initially surprised, for a restaurant of this caliber, by the poor-quality tablecloth and paper napkins, and the uninspiring tableware. The foie gras I ordered, at an extra cost, came straight from the fridge; it was very cold, but more importantly, it clearly hadn't been covered and had absorbed the flavors of the surroundings. It wasn't even accompanied by fleur de sel and a mere half-spoon of chutney. Overall, the dishes aren't particularly sophisticated, and the price is high.

The foie gras was rich and creamy, absolutely delicious! The lamb shank, the main course, was a bit too gamey. The steak was superb, and the side dishes were plentiful.

If you have enough time, you can give it a try. The food is very good, but the service is very slow. Although I'm used to slow service, this is a bit too slow—so slow that I started chatting with the people at the next table.
