A great experience, at times could be compared to Fawlty TowersDining experience.

It's always a pleasure to have lunch at "La Couronne"... everything was perfect! The staff are always very pleasant and professional. Thank you for this lovely family meal.

As I was on my own on my birthday I asked for a table with a good view of the room. I was greeted warmly on arrival and my table was perfect. The ambiance, food, wine, service, warm hospitality and attention to detail were excellent. … and yes, to my amusement, I had a serenade and a sparkler at the end of a fabulous evening. Mme Cauvin, the elegant, charming, and attentive owner takes supreme care of her guests. I look forward to my next visit!

We went there for lunch; it’s a restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The food was tasty—though not exactly "wow"—but people don't come here just for the food; they come for the ambiance. The owners are friendly, and we really appreciated the service. Regarding the food, I’d suggest doing something about the bread—Carrefour rolls don't exactly enhance the dishes, and that’s an easy fix. I also really missed having white tablecloths; I understand the choice of wine-colored ones, but from an aesthetic standpoint, white would be better. Great job!

Truly an excellent experience! We tried their famous canard à la rouennaise, simply delicious and prepared with great care. This historic, elegant, and charming restaurant has a quintessential French atmosphere. A fantastic location in the heart of Rouen. The food, ambiance, and service were all perfect. Highly recommended!

It was a truly magical evening. We were warmly greeted at the entrance by a lovely Madame. Even though we had our small dog with us, we were happily accommodated at a wonderful table. Although we waited a little while to order on Saturday evening, watching the staff move with such seamless efficiency and grace was a pleasure in itself, so the wait didn't bother us at all. The food was outstanding. We started with Champagne, followed by a full bottle of red, a half bottle, and finished with Calvados. By then, the room had settled into a relaxed atmosphere, and our server pleasantly shared delightful details about the win and Calvados. I truly hope that legendary establishments like this continue to thrive for generations to come. We will definitely be back soon!

We each had the beef, and it was very chewy. Would not do that again. We had a bottle of wine that was great and started with a glass of champagne.

This restaurant takes us back in time! It deserves a much better rating than it currently has. I recommend booking a table if you're looking for a modern Norman culinary experience in an authentic setting. 👌
