Flawless from start to finish! The welcome, the setting, the cuisine—everything was absolutely perfect. They even made our wedding anniversary extra special. We will gladly return.

It's always a great pleasure to come for lunch or dinner at La Gourmandière. The setting is refined, the welcome warm, and the service impeccable. As for the food, everything is divinely delicious. Very reasonable prices. Truly, congratulations to Mr. Coulon and Claudine!

No frills or recommendations here, no mess. The pan-seared foie gras was generous and perfectly executed. The same goes for the whole sweetbreads. The cheese platter was the best thing about it, hard to find elsewhere. Unlike one of its competitors that everyone talks about, the soufflé didn't arrive deflated. The wine prices were very reasonable. The setting is superb and very tasteful, unlike some of its competitors which offer the most kitschy decor imaginable. The seating is limited, but the soundproofing is satisfactory. No unpleasant surprises. Perfect. Friendly staff and chef, no fuss. Quality doesn't come at the expense of quantity. The dishes are beautifully presented. The owner doesn't take advantage of his customers, which isn't always the case elsewhere. After that, we remain in the realm of traditional cuisine, but without any shortcuts. La Gourmandière is undeniably one of the top 5 restaurants in the Creuse region, which doesn't need a guidebook's recommendation to retain a discerning clientele.
