We ate there yesterday at lunchtime. There are three or four choices for each course, and the cheese platter is worthy of a gourmet restaurant.
It's generous portions, very good, and wine is included. For €22, it's unbeatable!
The dining rooms are spacious, but be sure to book ahead!
The Tour de Boëge restaurant is one of the few establishments in the region that truly embodies the spirit of a bistro, offering hearty, delicious, home-style cooking! In a pleasantly rustic setting, the service is unpretentious and straightforward. Simple, efficient, and incredibly friendly and welcoming. And the value for money is simply outstanding!
I enjoyed:
A chicken liver salad with slices of duck breast.
A lamb shank on the bone (with butter!)
A fromage blanc (a type of fresh cheese)
An apple tart
All accompanied by a St Nicolas de Bourgueil wine.
A complimentary coffee and digestif!
Cost: €51.50 per person! Who can beat that, and who can eat better?!

A family-run restaurant that reminds me of Sunday family meals from my childhood. Local specialties served in generous portions, friendly and attentive service. Good food at a reasonable price, I recommend it 😊
