L'Alpette in Megève is located in a beautiful high altitude location. However, the service can be quite long. Perfect for enjoying the view and the mountain atmosphere, but be prepared to wait a bit to be served.

We had lunch at the Alpette on Tuesday March 5th inside because it was snowing. We hesitated to go there because of some comments about the service and food poisoning…. The service was perfect, fast, smiling and the dishes very good, yes it is a little expensive but these are MEGEVE prices….
(thank you very much to the two people who took care of our family, we were in the right side when we returned, I don't have their first names)

We visited l'Alpette on a day when there was sleet and rain. We were well received and served. We ate Tartiflette, a Savoie specialty. The price level is quite high.

Wow, what a simply superb meal, seriously friendly service, sublime food, great setting.
We have been eating here for over 30 years, but it’s our first visit since the terrible fire that destroyed the restaurant.
For sure now the interior is different, but the decor and ambience are still great.
Attentive and friendly service, the fillet steak with pepper corn sauce and dauphinoise potatoes was simply wonderful, the best and biggest fillet steak I’ve had in year, cooked rare to perfection. The chicken breast with morel sauce was equally good, all served by smiling and attentive staff.
Yes you pay a bit more but the quality is more than worth it.
