Restaurant L'Art Caddy sur Saint-Malo

Great little restaurant for lunch with hearty pies that revisit American dishes! The desserts are excellent, the service is top notch and the setting is charming.

I admit that it made me dive back into North American travel, on this point we are faithful to the atmosphere. On the other hand, culinaryly, I would qualify. We're more interested in quiche than good, generous American pie. Here it's a meager slice of pie with unseasoned iceberg salad for a price that is surely inflated in high season (sticker placed on the menu). Totally outdated service. When we have around twenty seats, we try to take at least one other person in the kitchen or in the dining room even if I know that it is not easy and that the restaurant is cramped. Disappointed but it's still homemade and the owners do their best.

What makes Saint-Malo so charming are these small streets outside the two usual main tourist streets. Indeed, that’s how we came across gems like the Art Caddy. Babette will welcome you with good savory and sweet tarts, cheesecake, kirs with surprising tastes, and other surprises. Warm atmosphere, you feel good there

Each time we visit Saint Malo, a visit to Babette delights our taste buds and our minds. Unique decor, perfect playlist. All these savory tarts are great, the coleslaw is the best and then the desserts!!!! New: the coffee and chocolate chip cheesecake: killer. Thanks girls!

A no-fuss atmosphere, excellent service, succulent quiches and tarts. Basically, DISCOVER and RETURN again and again.

A great discovery in Saint Malo. American magpie concept with incredible decor. We tasted 4 tarts/pies, all excellent. For dessert, a kind of peanut butter tart.... A delight. We all had a great time. A special nod to the boss and the adorable employees!!!!

Locale simpatico e alternativo, in stile US anni 50/60. Una nota di colore in una cittadina grigia. Una discreta scelta di torte e bevande e una coppia di gestrici cordiali e dalla buona conversazione. Il servizio abbastanza è rapido, ma non è, imho, il locale più asatto per una pausa lunga e tranquilla. Carino in definitiva, da provare.

Cela faisait des années que nous n'étions pas revenus dans cette petite trouvaille qu'est l'Art Caddy découvert grâce à mes beaux-parents il y a plus de trente ans, où après un séjour fabuleux aux Etats-Unis ensemble nous avions savouré un mémorable goûter malouin nous rappelant les States. Nous y étions retournés depuis il y a bien longtemps avec nos enfants devenus parents et nos petits-enfants, lesquels y élisent domicile régulièrement, plus souvent que nous en vacances à Saint Malo ; alors hier quelle joie de pouvoir retrouver son hôtesse charmante et drôle, se souvenant de nous, ce cadre à nul autre pareil et le raffinement de ses excellentes recettes américaines cuisinées avec amour et humour !
