07/02/2026: Passing through the area, we were looking for a restaurant for dinner. Drawn in by the positive reviews and the menu, we decided to give it a try and we loved everything about it. The staff were friendly, the setting was lovely, and of course, the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to the area!

31/01/2026: We made a last-minute reservation for four, but the staff were very pleasant and took excellent care of us. The food was excellent, both in taste and presentation, which was very sophisticated. The atmosphere was very pleasant; even with a lot of customers, we could still hear each other talk without it being noisy. Thank you again to the whole team; it was a wonderful discovery!

10/06/2026: What a lovely host and what fantastic food. A very nice place that reminded me a lot of Koffie enzo in Delft. The host grew up in England so he speaks fluent English, but is French. What a fantastic person. We both had the lunch menu (soup of the day (2 types), salad, and a croque monsieur (3 types)). Very tasty!

22/04/2026: The dish served was neither very generous nor as advertised (I only realized this when I went to pay, seeing plates of ravioli generously topped with prosciutto while mine didn't contain a single gram...). When we mentioned this at the checkout, the owner deducted a paltry 2 euros from the bill, even though the menu clearly states that a ham supplement is 3 euros. To err is human, but the very least they could have done was offer us the drinks on the bill. Instead, the owner launched into a convoluted explanation, concluding that what had happened was his wife's fault... I am extremely disappointed and do not recommend this restaurant.

03/05/2026: We had an exceptional time at La Gourmand’île! The welcome was simply perfect, especially with our 18-month-old. The entire team was incredibly attentive, allowing us to fully enjoy our meal in complete peace of mind. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, and you immediately feel that you're in a place where the well-being of the customers truly matters. A huge thank you to the owner who does his job with passion and generosity—this is evident in both the welcome and the overall experience. An address we wholeheartedly recommend, and where we will gladly return!

22/04/2026: We had a very good lunch. The set lunch menu was excellent, great value for money with the butter tasting and amuse-bouche. Both the service and the food were perfect. This was our third visit, and it was just as good as always: we will definitely be back!

06/12/2025: This friendly, unpretentious restaurant is perfect for getting together with friends over a good meal. The meat dishes are generous, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the wine selection complements them wonderfully. Other cuts of meat are often available outside the menu. The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere immediately puts you at ease. An ideal place to spend a great time with friends. I highly recommend it!

11/05/2026: Passing through St. Malo for a few days, I booked a restaurant to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary, and I don't regret it at all (nor do the 36 years...). A very good restaurant, and the staff are exceptionally kind and professional. We will gladly return on another trip to St. Malo... And thank you again to the young waitress for her kind attention to my wife.

21/04/2026: We were looking somewhat randomly for a place to eat after our walk, near our hotel. The reviews on Google convinced us. We weren't disappointed. What a welcome! Cheerful, smiling, and genuine! We got a good table even without a reservation. Pleasant atmosphere. Delicious food from the appetizers to the dessert. We loved it. Thank you for this wonderful experience. Places like this are rare these days.

27/05/2026: Disappointed. The mussels marinière (only one variety of mussel on the menu) were anything but: cooked with a (homemade) garlic butter that was far too greasy and garlicky, sickeningly heavy. The mussels weren't cleaned and crunched between the teeth. The fries were good, but again, too greasy. The place has a homey feel, but the few tables that fit are crammed together. Meh.

01/06/2026: We came here looking for an alternative to another popular spot in St. Malo, and it was the best decision! The food was delicious, refined in every detail. The fish on a creamy risotto and the appetizers of oysters and gravalax were fresh and delicious. The owner (I think) was very kind and attentive to every detail, suggesting a good wine to pair with both the main courses and the cheeses. I highly recommend this charming restaurant.
