Restaurant le Ban de L'Ours sur Saint-Maurice-En-Valgodemard

Very beautiful place, very pleasant garden, quiet at the edge of a small waterfall, impeccable rooms, same bathroom, nothing to say, very welcoming and attentive staff.. only small downside, the table... Few local specialties, except donkey ears one evening out of 6... And the breakfast... No salted butter, only 1 jam... no cheese (ah yes, Kiri and packaged camembert...) not a little bit of cold meats... and fruit juice....(1 glass!) not always identifiable... I was happy to do without the pastries but the industrial pain au chocolat. ... Well no!!!! Well it's a detail compared to the quality of the rest of the stay...

The welcome and service are exceptional :). The atmosphere is super cozy. The meals are good (the picnics too), the rooms are comfortable. The deckchairs in the shade are the best excuse for a relaxing afternoon with a book. We will definitely come back :).

Stayed two nights at this delightful hotel. Lovely warm welcome, the rooms are simple but very comfortable and amazing views, we enjoyed a balcony too. The garden is lovely and after a walk we enjoyed lying there. Possible to have coffee and drinks. The evening meal is simple and no choice, more chambre dhote, we enjoyed it - perhaps a challenge if you are vegetarian. Enjoyed the cheese platter in particular. Finished off with a coffee and calva outside, wonderful. The dining room is simple and probably would have preferred an open window or to eat outside. Wonderful local walks. We were lucky the weather was stunning but felt this part of France, with mountain views and no ski resorts, was stunning too

WARM WELCOME - DREAM LOCATION FOR BIKING OR WALKING - QUIET - RELAXING - VERY GOOD CUISINE - TOTAL EXCEPTION -

We were a large group of friends gathered at Ban de l’Ours to discover the hikes in this quiet site in Valgaudemar. This family hotel is very welcoming, the staff always available, particularly for informed hiking advice, the meals are varied, prepared with care and served with Caroline's smile. The rooms allow for certain rest.

Only happiness..... A magnificent and peaceful place where the watercourse and the birds are background sounds, beautiful well-renovated rooms, a restaurant with good local products and then adorable and attentive staff for these customers. We spent 2 days there......only happiness....❤️❤️

Family hotel, and the spirit is there. Well done. One and only Small downside is the wifi. .. not terrible. Bedroom furniture a little dated, but very comfortable and superb balcony. Great welcome from the boss, and when it comes to cooking, it's great. The boss even took the trouble to make my meals without salt. Thank you so much. The waitress who is none other than the girl always has a smile and the patience of an angel... I recommend with pleasure. Monique
