Restaurant Le Candille sur Mougins

We stayed a few nights at Mas Candille and to get used to the beautiful 5-star establishments, here is our experience: - The hotel is located in a peaceful environment, in the heart of Mougins. The view is splendid! - Our arrival at the hotel was absolutely not warm. The gentleman at reception neither welcomed us, nor offered refreshments, nor a tour of the premises... He simply asked us our name and gave us the room card. - The room is new, in a cozy style. The bedding is excellent! - The restaurant for dining overlooks a pretty swimming pool. We waited 15 minutes before a server took our order. - The restaurant's kitchen is open to the tables. Which is generally appreciable provided that the kitchen is not a place of chatter and a noise nuisance for the terrace! The chef and his brigade were particularly noisy and constantly on their cell phones and laptops. Damage. - The dishes were very good and the servers were pleasant. - Back in the room, a very loud noise from the outside air conditioning prevented us from getting to sleep. We asked to change rooms the next day. - Breakfast is very good. The room is not spacious but the staff are pleasant. - The establishment has a second very large and heated swimming pool. The problem: no service around the swimming pool. No one to welcome or available. In a 4 star, this would be normal. Finally, the overall experience is a little disappointing, especially since we regularly go to Mas de Pierre, which is a real guarantee of 5-star quality. We are well aware that Mas Candille opened its doors a few months ago and that the team may struggle to get up to speed.

With our family, 3 children and 2 adults, we had a great time! Two nice rooms and a congierge who helped us book trips and nice restaurants. We'll be back soon.

The hotel is incredible, the lush vegetation, the magnificent decoration, the staff very friendly even if still getting used to it. The spa and adults-only pool are superb too. Truly a unique place. On the other hand, we called 3 times in a row because we forgot a pair of glasses in the room, and despite promises to call back, we never heard back... we gave up... so that's it. meh :(

Had lunch in the pool resturant. Great food and wine, amazing view. However the service was not good. We waited over 40 minutes on the food, and we did not get our drinks during the wait - until we asked for them, and it seemed like the waiter had forgotten us…also had to wait a long time to get the bill.

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. Mougins is simply stunning. The hotel has only just reopened after a beautiful refurbishment. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent.

Food by the pool (risotto) was okay. Selection in the room service menu is mediocre. Unfortunately the Salad Nicoise wasn't available, so I got some sort of sandwich instead. Very nice hotel manager and friendly staff. Hotel more for couples / older people who want peace and quiet

Mas Candille has had a makeover, what a pleasure to see this emblematic establishment come back to life! The place is still sublime and the new decor is very successful! The restaurant by the pool is worth a detour, the welcome is very warm, we chose the lobster pasta, a real delight! Bravo and long life at Mas Candille!

What a pleasure ! We were lucky enough to be among the first customers to arrive on the first day of opening. And what a discovery! We knew this legendary place in Mougins where we had stayed but there!! Nothing to see, an incredible renovation carried out by a renowned architect and decorator that we knew, Hugo Toro, who managed to keep the Provençal style by adding a touch of Tuscany and California. The interior decoration is splendid and, above all, completely new for me. The CLARINS Spa, with its beautiful indoor and outdoor swimming pool and of course the treatments always worthy of Clarins. We had the chance to meet the young chef Romain Antoine, who introduced us to his original menu while remaining in the tone of Provence. He will also soon open the second restaurant, the gourmet one. All this accompanied by classy, ​​attentive and very kind staff. I rarely leave such a long review, but am so enthusiastic…. Well done again!
