Being on vacation, I wanted to eat a good sauerkraut, but that evening, there was no sauerkraut left. So I settled for the Baeckeoffe. No regrets. Very good, a great discovery. My only regret: not asking for a spoon to finish the broth like a good soup. The person I was with ordered a ham hock, a generous and very appetizing portion...

Restaurant Au Lion d'Or

30/08/2026: An upscale restaurant in a tourist town. The food tastes good, but not excellent. The schnitzel is not recommended (undercooked and rather overcooked). The desserts are all delicious.
26/08/2026: Rustic and traditional Alsatian atmosphere. Recommended by friends, we still had to wait in line for about thirty minutes (Christmas market season). The portions are generous, although the prices are a bit high (probably inflated for the time of year). The service is adequate, nothing more.

Restaurante La Palme d'Or

27/08/2026: We chose this restaurant for its wide selection of flammekueches (or flammenkuchen) and its delicious traditional Alsatian specialties. The value for money is excellent. Furthermore, the staff is particularly attentive to customers and was very kind to our dog, who was perfectly welcome on the terrace.
24/08/2026: The apple strudel was very good, as was the latte macchiato. The outdoor seating is lovely, offering fantastic views in both directions of the beautiful half-timbered houses and the surrounding mountains. Highly recommended :-)
